I Am Blessed

It’s easy to dwell upon the bad things in life. I try VERY HARD to NOT complain, especially online. (There are plenty of people who have that field covered.)

I try to follow the saying, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
Which often leaves me with a lot of nothing to say.
So I’m trying to make it a habit of recognizing the good things… especially when life gets rough.

And the past few days have been rough.
Our house has been filled with snotty noses, stuffy noses, dirty tissues, diarrhea, diaper rash, sore throats, coughing, crying, whining… not to mention the kids. (hehe!)

But you know what, it’s tough days like these that help me realize just how blessed I really am.

I’m blessed to have a husband like Joe.
Joe was able to work from home and get off early to help take care of me and the kids.
He ran to the store to get supplies.
He got up early with the boys so I could sleep in.
He took the boys out of the house, when they were well, so I could rest.
He fixed meals.
He cleaned.
He changed diapers.
He totally fulfilled the part in our marriage vows that said, “in sickness and in health”.

I am truly blessed to have such an amazing husband that cares for me and our kids. He gives selflessly to take care of us and I am extremely grateful for him.

Joe LiebSo remember when the days, weeks or months get tough…. try to find something or someone for which to be thankful.

And I am thankful for Joe.
