Jude is 6 years old

Yesterday was Jude’s 6th birthday and at his request (made several months ago) we took a family vacation to the beach. Aside from the typical challenges of taking 3 small children anywhere it was a pretty fun trip. We planned our trip to coincide with my parent’s (Grandma + Boogie) trip to the beach. We rented a 2 bedroom condo in Myrtle Beach just a few miles away from the Travel Park where my parents take their RV to the beach.  Screen Shot 2014-06-28 at 4.21.23 PMWe played in the sand, jumped over the waves, rode the lazy river, played, swam and ate way too much delicious food. It was a pretty typical vacation… oh yeah we also celebrated Jude. He’s 6!

I’m so proud of this kid. He can push my buttons like no one else but when I see him make good decisions, treat people with compassion and respect, and do all of the generally awesome things he does I seem to forget about all the craziness.

I can’t wait to see what year 6 with Jude holds.
