Whole30 – Week 3 Meal Plan

Whole30 shopping is different than our regular shopping. I used to be able to shop every 2 weeks but with so many more vegetables and fruits I now have to shop every week. And despite the fact that we aren’t buy all of the old foods we used to eat it’s still more expensive. I’m still trying to figure out how to manage our budget and shopping to accommodate clean eating. Meal planning has been a huge life saver and I’m sure we are spending more than necessary because we are still learning so hopefully we’ll get into a grove.

I’m finding that planning breakfasts and lunches are good but I don’t always stick to the plan. Sometimes I plan on leftovers but then there aren’t any so I have to improvise. Sometimes I plan on eggs for breakfast but I’m not really feeling it so I switch it up. I make a plan so I at least have a rough draft to follow. I do follow my dinner meal plans pretty closely since meat has to be thawed and such but every once in a while I’ll switch a few days.
