Peanut Butter S’Mores Muddy Buddies
Peanut Butter S’mores Muddy Buddies! This stuff is addictive. As fall quickly approaches, I’m ready for all the comfort foods like s’mores. Cool evenings around the campfire roasting marshmallows and eating S’mores screams fall.
Once a week, I try to add a special treat to my boys’ school lunches. Sometimes, I buy a special dessert but occasionally bake brownies, muffins, rice krispies treats and more. This week I made a fall-themed muddy buddies recipe. This is such a simple, no-bake dessert that everyone will love.
Ingredients
- 9 Cups Chex Cereal (I like to combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex and Chocolate Chex)
- 1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 1 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips (or more)
- 3/4 Cup Mini Marshmallows (or more)
Directions
- Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
- In a 1-quart microwavable bowl, add chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave uncovered on High for 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until the mixture can be stirred smoothly.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
- Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
- Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated.
- Add mini marshmallows and additional chocolate chips
- Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
