Camp Lieb – Day 5 Ninja Day
Friday was the last day of Camp Lieb and even though we had a lot of fun I’m exhausted. The extra special activities meant extra excited children which meant more meltdowns, less sleep and general exhaustion. Ninja day was highly anticipated and the kids were very excited about being ninjas all day.
We started the morning with Ninja Turtle tattoos. Noah and Simon love temporary tattoos but Jude can’t stand them and he immediately rubbed his off.
Then we went outside for a ball toss game just like the Bozo Show, which I re-invented as a Ninja training exercise.
For snack we had the zucchini bread I made yesterday which is not at all ninja themed but was delicious.
Then the boys watched Lego Nijago on Netflix Streaming. (Throughout the day they watched several episodes) Meanwhile I made lunch, PB&J sushi rolls… I didn’t take pictures 🙁
After lunch I read the boys Nighttime Ninja, a really cute book about a little boy ninja that doesn’t want to go to bed.
Then there were a few meltdowns and then quiet time/naptime.
During nap time watched more Ninjago and Jude did a few ninja themed worksheets.
Then we made shape ninjas, Ninjago style.
For an afternoon snack we had ninja swords, which were really ice pops. Again, I forgot to take a picture. The boys played outside after nap at the water table until Joe got home from the car dealership/mechanic where he spent most of his afternoon waiting for them to install a new starter in our van. $$$
For dinner we had a regular Friday night pizza and a movie night. Joe made pizza and we watched Planes: Fire and Rescue (not ninja themed but still a great movie).
After dinner the boys took showers and Joe led them around the house on a secret ninja mission to find their pajamas and get ready for bed.
Camp Lieb was finally over and we all had a blast. I can’t wait until next summer when we have get to do Camp Lieb again.
Caaammmpp LIEB!
