Levana Stella Baby Monitor Review
Contrary to popular belief amongst my children I do NOT have eyes in the back of my head. I do have a keen sense for detecting when a child is up to no good so on occasion I catch a mischievous toddler red-handed doing something they aren’t allowed to. But the rest of the time I rely on technology to help me keep an eye on all 4 kids.
Keeping an eye on the napping toddler while holding a napping newborn.
With our recent addition of Baby Abel, I find myself stuck in a chair nursing a newborn which leaves a 6-year-old, 3-year-old, and 2-year-old somewhat unattended to on occasion. However, recently installed the Levana Stella Baby Video Monitors in the boys’ rooms. Now I can keep a watchful eye on the boys, especially during nap time.
The Levana Stella 2 Camera Baby Video Monitor features:
- Touch panel pan/tilt/zoom video baby monitor
- A powerful battery that will last up to 24 hours
- Talk to Baby two-way intercom
- Three soothing lullabies
- Invisible LED night vision
- Private ClearVu Digital Signal
- Expandable up to 4 cameras
We had an old video monitor that we’d been using since Jude was a baby (6 years ago) and while it had some nice features the video quality was lacking and there were very limited capabilities of the camera. What I love about the Levana Stella camera is the large 4.3” monitor screen, Invisible infrared LED night vision and crisp video picture. I can clearly see what each child is doing (if they are in bed or crying).
I also really love the Talk to Baby two-way intercom. This feature is especially useful while trying to keep an active toddler in bed.
The Levana Stella Baby Video Monitor is very easy to use, just plug it in and turn it on. The features are very easy to access via the monitor. I particularly love that you can lock the monitor so little hands don’t accidentally change the settings.
We mounted our cameras to the wall opposite the boys beds to keep the wiring secure and to give us the best view of the room. The cameras are easy to adjust to scan the room. Since our boys’ rooms are small we decided to use 1 camera in each room however if the rooms were bigger we might put both cameras in 1 room to gain a better vantage of the room.
Overall, I would give the Levana Stella video monitor 2 thumbs up because it has all of the features I could possibly imagine, and then some.
