Cleaning the High Chair

clean the high chair

My least favorite item to clean is Simon’s high chair. No matter how often I wipe it down there is always dried on food stuck in every nook and cranny of the high chair. How 1 banana find it’s way into the all the cracks and on the straps I’ll never know. I’m always surprised at how much of a mess little babies can make and how quickly it takes over the entire house.

keekaroo3I love Simon’s high chair because it has smooth surfaces with minimal seems and spots for food to hide but it still accumulates and gets pretty nasty.

Mr-CleanI recently received the new Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle and it worked wonders on Simon’s high chair. It’s simple to use but great for cutting through tough, stuck-on grime. I filled the bucket with water and then added the Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle. The special liquid get concentrate works great on all sorts of dirt. The bottle is designed to distribute just the right amount of concentrate into the bucket so you don’t have to wonder if you added too much or too little Mr. Clean. It’s simple to use, just hold the bottle upside down and squeeze. The once the concentrate stops flowing out of the cap you know you’ve added the right amount of cleaner.

I used the Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle and a sponge to wipe down Simon’s high chair and it worked so well that I just continued to clean the rest of the kitchen.

How to Deep Clean the High Chair

Step 1. Use a dry cloth to remove any crumbs or free debris.

Step 2. Fill a Bucket with warm water and Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle.

Step 3. Use a sponge (preferably one with a scrubbing side) to clean away stuck on food and stickiness. If some spots aren’t coming clean leave it to sit for a few minutes with a little of the prepared Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle.

Step 4. Scrub straps and buckles well, if possible remove straps and let soak in warm soapy water to help loosen dried on food.*

Step 5. Wipe down with a damp cloth one final time to make sure it’s fully clean and reattach straps.

*Consult your high chair owner manual whenever dis-assembling or removing straps to be cleaned. Safety First!
