Bacon Wrapped Okra

·

baconwrappedokraWhen the produce box arrive it contained okra, I’ve only ever had fried okra and that’s not very paleo. So I decided to do what any good paleo would do, wrap it in bacon. The result = awesome.

The recipe is so easy it’s ridiculous.

Ingredients

  • Okra
  • Bacon

Directions

  1. Thoroughly wash and dry the okra (make sure it’s dry or it could become slimy while cooking).
  2. Wrap a slice of bacon around the okra
  3. Fry in a pan over Medium or Medium/High Heat (the same way you fry bacon).
  4. Rotate the okra to fry all sides of the bacon until crispy
  5. Eat

Now wasn’t that easy?

I wasn’t sure if the okra would be good if I cooked it that way but I figured, there’s always bacon. Luckily it came out delicious.
