Gluten Free Cinnamon Raisin French Toast with Udi’s
My boys ask for French Toast almost everyday. I try to make them a big breakfast at least once a week and it’s usually French Toast as per their request. We don’t eat a lot of grains except for the occasional sandwich or beloved French toast. I was excited to try the Udi’s breakfast selections because less gluten is always better for our family’s diet.
I used Udi’s Gluten Free Cinnamon Raisin bread to make Cinnamon Raisin French Toast for the boys and it was a huge hit. They love raisins but have never eaten cinnamon raisin bread (I’m not sure why they’ve never eaten it, because it’s delicious) so they thought the bread itself was amazing.
“Mama. there are raisins in my bread!”
Sometimes Gluten Free breads can be a little dry or tough but by using the bread to make French Toast it was a great way to combat the potential for the bread to be too dry. Overall, it was a big hit with everyone except Joe and that’s only because he doesn’t eat eggs (his loss).
Ingredients
- 4-6 slices of Udi’s Cinnamon Raisin Bread
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Whole Milk
- 1 Tbls of Butter
- Maple Syrup
Directions
- Heat butter on a pan over Medium-High Heat.
- Wisk together Milk & Eggs.
- Dip pieces of bread in the egg mixture (both side).
- Cook in pan on both sides until browned.
- Enjoy with Maple Syrup and/or butter.
Udi’s also sent us many more of their “breakfast” items like bagels, muffins, tortillas for making breakfast burritos, granola bars and more bread. However, the favorite item, by far, was our Cinnamon Raisin French toast, we will be making it again for sure.
