Ringling Bros. Dragons in Raleigh, NC
Last night I took Jude to the circus and we had so much fun.
I think Jude was most excited to see a dragon, which he kept getting confused with dinosaurs. I kept reminding him that dragons aren’t real and that dinosaurs are extinct but he didn’t seem to care.
The Ringling Bros and Barnam and Bailey Circus – Dragons show features Dragon tribes from the far reaches of the earth are brought together in a single performance, displaying their breathtaking skills in a circus tournament of champions. Each tribe must prove that they have virtues of Courage, Strength, Wisdom and Heart to arouse dragons which appear right before your very eyes!
Each acts was captivating but Jude especially loved the the clowns and Elephants. I like the Alexander Lacey and his Tigers and Lions, there’s something about a man in a cage full of powerful beasts that keeps you no the edge of your seat.
I also really liked the Cossacks. The horses were beautiful and the riders performed some pretty amazing acrobatic feats which would have been impressive even if they weren’t on a moving horse.
We only made it till intermission then Jude was pretty sleepy so we had to head home. I wish we could have stayed longer but it was a school night and Jude was already up well past his bedtime. But the whole way home he talked about the show and was excited to go to school this morning to tell his schoolmates the fun he had at the circus.
The Ringling Bros. Circus – Dragons is in Raleigh at the PNC Arena until February 10th.Tickets start at $15 per person.
