Birthday Bash: SodaStream Review + Giveaway

Joe loves soda but I don’t buy it often because it’s unnecessary additional expense and just takes up a lot of space in our tiny apartment. But since I discovered the SodaStream we can have all the soda we want without all the hassle of buying it from the store. 

Honestly the novelty of making your own soda makes the SodaStream that much cooler. You can select the flavors and the amount of carbonation. We first tried the cola flavor because that seemed like the logical place to start. I was surprised at how easy it was to assemble and operate. It literally took about 2 minutes from start to finish. The cola flavor was nice and smooth. I don’t often drink cola because it kind of burns but with SodaStream cola had a nice full flavor with just the right amount of carbonation.

We then tried the Orange-Mango flavor and I must say that is my favorite so far. It has a sweet and tangy flavor that I love. I really like orange soda but sometimes it’s too sweet but the SodaStream Orange-Mango was just right.

I also like that the SodaStream is that there are less calories and sugar than typical store bought sodas. Finally, I love that the SodaStream is eco-friendly because you reuse the bottle. So it’s cheaper, takes up less space, better for the environment and is good for you. I’m sold!


Here are Joe’s thoughts on the SodaStream: 

The SodaStream is a lot of fun.  It is a lot quicker and easier than I expected it to be, and it tastes pretty good,too.
So far we’ve tried Orange-Mango and Cola flavors, and they taste pretty close to what you’d buy in the store, but without all the chemicals in those drinks.
The SodaStream offers a lot of flexibility because it allows you to create your own carbonated water (aka club soda) which can be mixed with just about anything you would want to drink.
I plan on spending several saturdays carbonating things to see what I can come up with [insert mad scientist laugh here].
