Fortunately, Jude hasn’t encountered too many diaper rashes and the ones he’s had haven’t been too bad. I’ve learned from experience that keeping baby’s bottom dry is the firs step in preventing diaper rashes. That means changing dirty diapers ASAP and making sure baby’s bottom is dry before putting on a clean diaper. One of the best ways to help heal a sore bottom is to let baby air out. Sometimes, I let Jude run around diaper free for a little bit if his bum is looking a little pink but for real irritations and rashes I turn to Dr. Smith’s.
Dr. Smith’s Diaper Ointment has been helping parents soothe irritated baby bottoms for about 45 years. Dr. Smith’s Goes on like a cream and protects like an ointment, it has no unpleasant odor, is easy to apply and wash off. It is also fast-acting and gentle on baby’s skin.
The people at Dr. Smith’s understand mom’s needs and work hard to create a community where parents can learn and connect. They sent me a beautiful gift basket filled with goodies for me, baby #2 and of course, plenty of Dr. Smith’s diaper ointment.I was very impressed with the thoughtfulness and generosity of the Dr. Smith’s gift basket I received, they really do take the time to not only understand how to take care of diaper rashes but also the needs of moms and babies.

Every morning my boys slurp down their cereal milk straight from the bowl. I’m not sure where they learned this as neither I or Joe drink the milk from the bowl but they think it’s fantastic. I guess there’s just something about the flavorful milk that’s left from their cereal (which is usually non-sugary). Cow…
I love jewelry that has a meaning. Something subtle that reminds you of someone you love. I think that is why I’m always so finicky when it comes to picking out jewelry. That is also why I love Lucky Accessories. This mother’s day I think any mom would love to receive a peapod necklace from…
You’re throwing an awesome outdoor BBQ this summer, everyone is having a great time, eating lots of good food and drinking lots of sodas. Everyone is tossing their paper plates and aluminum cans into a big black trash bag tied to the deck post. It’s leaking some mysterious liquid and the contents keep spilling over…
Every Week we have a pizza night. We typically go with the easy and affordable choice of a frozen pizza and occasionally we order a pizza for delivery but rarely do I make a pizza from scratch. However, my favorite pizzas are the ones from scratch because I can make it just how I want…

For years I’ve loved the idea of having a garden but never really had the space to plant one in my yard, so I started using pots to grow a small porch garden. It’s fairly simple to grow herbs, some veggies and beautiful flowers in containers. Containers give you a lot of versatility to create…
