Fortunately, Jude hasn’t encountered too many diaper rashes and the ones he’s had haven’t been too bad. I’ve learned from experience that keeping baby’s bottom dry is the firs step in preventing diaper rashes. That means changing dirty diapers ASAP and making sure baby’s bottom is dry before putting on a clean diaper. One of the best ways to help heal a sore bottom is to let baby air out. Sometimes, I let Jude run around diaper free for a little bit if his bum is looking a little pink but for real irritations and rashes I turn to Dr. Smith’s.
Dr. Smith’s Diaper Ointment has been helping parents soothe irritated baby bottoms for about 45 years. Dr. Smith’s Goes on like a cream and protects like an ointment, it has no unpleasant odor, is easy to apply and wash off. It is also fast-acting and gentle on baby’s skin.
The people at Dr. Smith’s understand mom’s needs and work hard to create a community where parents can learn and connect. They sent me a beautiful gift basket filled with goodies for me, baby #2 and of course, plenty of Dr. Smith’s diaper ointment.I was very impressed with the thoughtfulness and generosity of the Dr. Smith’s gift basket I received, they really do take the time to not only understand how to take care of diaper rashes but also the needs of moms and babies.

I love aprons. I don’t wear them often but I think they are wonderful and everyone should own one. One feature I particularly love in an apron is pockets. You wouldn’t think you should need a pocket while cleaning but I like to keep my cell phone safe and handy. (In case I catch something…

We don’t go out to eat often but when we do (usually Sunday afternoons) we want it to be something nutritious yet still tasty. That is why we often frequent Noodles & Company. Just this past year Jude discovered Dora the Explorer and like most toddlers he was hooked immediately. While I thought I wouldn’t be one of those moms that gave in to the pressure of all things Dora I was very surprised at how quickly he took to the show. He likes Dora but isn’t obsessed…
