May has been a busy month. Mother’s Day, my birthday, Joe’s birthday, Baby 2 due any day, Joe working 6 days a week, visiting family, finishing unpacking… the list goes on. Somehow we’ve managed to fit in a few date night this month which is a few more than most months. I figure with baby 2 coming soon we needed to fit in a few nights out since we’ll be spending a lot of time at home.
Last week, thanks to my mom and Disney we were able to slip out and enjoy an evening at the movies, a rarity for us. We saw a pre-release showing of Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. We’d seen the first 3 movies in the theater and really want to see this one but didn’t think we’d get the chance.
I was super excited because I really enjoyed the other movies and I especially love Johnny Depp. We saw the 3D version which was awkward at first, wearing those glasses, but after awhile it just seemed natural. Overall, the movie was a fun and entertaining film, which is pretty much what I expecting. I certainly liked it better than the 2nd and 3rd sequel but it still didn’t compare to the 1st. (Sometimes the 1st is always the best, which is probably why they make, 2nd’s, 3rd’s and 4th’s!)
Overall, it was a fun date night and I’m so glad we were able to get out for a last minute date night before baby 2 arrives.
Check out the trailer. It’s playing in most theaters across the US right now, so go see it!
I received the free tickets to the film. The opinions expressed in this post are my own and not influenced by the company.

Our family eats tacos at least once a week. Jude absolutely loves tacos. It surprises me how many tacos he can consume. One thing I like about making tacos for my family is I can always sneak in a few healthy vegetables and no one is the wiser. We recently received Ortega Whole Grain Taco…

We had a great time dancing along with our favorite Sesame Street characters like Elmo, Grover, Cookie Monster and Big Bird. The Let’s Dance show gave kids and their parents the opportunity to dance throughout the show encouraging everyone…

I’ve always been a fan of soft pretzels but it wasn’t until recently that I tried a gourmet soft pretzel. To be honest I didn’t even know there was such a thing. Joe, however, was super excited about reviewing Kim and Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels. He’d had them before and thinks they are just awesome. The…
I recently saw “Blended” the new Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore film. To be honest I was a little skeptical about it because I hadn’t been too impress with the more recent Sandler films I’ve seen but I was pleasantly surprise. There is a wonderfully quirky connection between Sandler and Barrymore that just makes them…
