May has been a busy month. Mother’s Day, my birthday, Joe’s birthday, Baby 2 due any day, Joe working 6 days a week, visiting family, finishing unpacking… the list goes on. Somehow we’ve managed to fit in a few date night this month which is a few more than most months. I figure with baby 2 coming soon we needed to fit in a few nights out since we’ll be spending a lot of time at home.
Last week, thanks to my mom and Disney we were able to slip out and enjoy an evening at the movies, a rarity for us. We saw a pre-release showing of Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. We’d seen the first 3 movies in the theater and really want to see this one but didn’t think we’d get the chance.
I was super excited because I really enjoyed the other movies and I especially love Johnny Depp. We saw the 3D version which was awkward at first, wearing those glasses, but after awhile it just seemed natural. Overall, the movie was a fun and entertaining film, which is pretty much what I expecting. I certainly liked it better than the 2nd and 3rd sequel but it still didn’t compare to the 1st. (Sometimes the 1st is always the best, which is probably why they make, 2nd’s, 3rd’s and 4th’s!)
Overall, it was a fun date night and I’m so glad we were able to get out for a last minute date night before baby 2 arrives.
Check out the trailer. It’s playing in most theaters across the US right now, so go see it!
I received the free tickets to the film. The opinions expressed in this post are my own and not influenced by the company.

We spent a wonderful Saturday afternoon at Green Acres of Cary. While the weather was a bit on the warm side, it was still a perfect fall afternoon with my family. Green Acres has a huge corn maze, hay ride, pumpkin patch, and other family fun activities every fall. Jude navigated us through the 1.5-mile…

I few months ago I reviewed a beautiful necklace and earring set from Fantasy Jewelry Box. I think it’s pretty much understood that most women like to receive jewelry for their birthday, or really any occasion. When I was growing up I was a tomboy and didn’t wear much jewelry but I have since discovered…
I don’t know how or why but Jude is obsessed with all things Halloween. He’s only 2 years old and I doubt he remembers last Halloween but all he talks about is trick-or-treat, pumpkins and spooky ghosts. So when Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare came out I thought Jude would love it. He loves dogs and he…
Over the weekend, we took a family trip to Atlanta, Georgia to visit the Georgia Aquarium. We stayed one night at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Atlanta which is located right next door to the aquarium. The boys loved staying at the hotel and we all did surprisingly well sleeping in a room together. They…
