May has been a busy month. Mother’s Day, my birthday, Joe’s birthday, Baby 2 due any day, Joe working 6 days a week, visiting family, finishing unpacking… the list goes on. Somehow we’ve managed to fit in a few date night this month which is a few more than most months. I figure with baby 2 coming soon we needed to fit in a few nights out since we’ll be spending a lot of time at home.
Last week, thanks to my mom and Disney we were able to slip out and enjoy an evening at the movies, a rarity for us. We saw a pre-release showing of Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. We’d seen the first 3 movies in the theater and really want to see this one but didn’t think we’d get the chance.
I was super excited because I really enjoyed the other movies and I especially love Johnny Depp. We saw the 3D version which was awkward at first, wearing those glasses, but after awhile it just seemed natural. Overall, the movie was a fun and entertaining film, which is pretty much what I expecting. I certainly liked it better than the 2nd and 3rd sequel but it still didn’t compare to the 1st. (Sometimes the 1st is always the best, which is probably why they make, 2nd’s, 3rd’s and 4th’s!)
Overall, it was a fun date night and I’m so glad we were able to get out for a last minute date night before baby 2 arrives.
Check out the trailer. It’s playing in most theaters across the US right now, so go see it!
I received the free tickets to the film. The opinions expressed in this post are my own and not influenced by the company.

Don’t you hate it when you come home from the grocery store only to realize you forgot the bread? The one thing you set out to buy is still sitting on the shelf in the store and you are now making PB&Js on tortillas. Uggg. The Supermarket Smarty saves you time and frustration, which I’m…
Over the weekend Jude and I had the opportunity to go on a mother/son date. We saw the preview screening of Madagascar 3. Jude has seen the first Madagascar movie and he loved it so I knew it would be a big hit. I was a little concerned because we were seeing the 3D version…
