May has been a busy month. Mother’s Day, my birthday, Joe’s birthday, Baby 2 due any day, Joe working 6 days a week, visiting family, finishing unpacking… the list goes on. Somehow we’ve managed to fit in a few date night this month which is a few more than most months. I figure with baby 2 coming soon we needed to fit in a few nights out since we’ll be spending a lot of time at home.
Last week, thanks to my mom and Disney we were able to slip out and enjoy an evening at the movies, a rarity for us. We saw a pre-release showing of Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. We’d seen the first 3 movies in the theater and really want to see this one but didn’t think we’d get the chance.
I was super excited because I really enjoyed the other movies and I especially love Johnny Depp. We saw the 3D version which was awkward at first, wearing those glasses, but after awhile it just seemed natural. Overall, the movie was a fun and entertaining film, which is pretty much what I expecting. I certainly liked it better than the 2nd and 3rd sequel but it still didn’t compare to the 1st. (Sometimes the 1st is always the best, which is probably why they make, 2nd’s, 3rd’s and 4th’s!)
Overall, it was a fun date night and I’m so glad we were able to get out for a last minute date night before baby 2 arrives.
Check out the trailer. It’s playing in most theaters across the US right now, so go see it!
I received the free tickets to the film. The opinions expressed in this post are my own and not influenced by the company.

So we’re in a band. With our friends Seth and Thurston. The name of the band is The Victoria Line, after our trip to England. It’s been pretty slow going, and we haven’t had a lot of time to work on music with all the recent life-changing events and such, but we did find time…
I can’t tell you how excited I was for the new Disney film of Roald Dahl’s famous, “The BFG”. I love anything written by Roald Dahl and just a few months ago Jude and I read “The BFG” together. I was very interested to see how Disney and Steven Spielberg would portray this beautiful and…
For months now Jude has been obsessing with pumpkins, trick or treating, and all things Halloween. He’s only 2 but somehow Halloween has become his favorite holiday. October is a particularly exciting month for him because not only is it Halloween but there are a ton of fun Halloween themed shows available. Originally released in…
After what seemed like weeks of constant rain I noticed that my children were becoming restless. They got bored easily, couldn’t maintain focus on a task for very long and were generally more grumpy. You see, we’d been watching a lot of television and their little bodies and brains were simultaneously under and over stimulated….

All I can say is that I love this diaper. I’ve tried so many different brands and styles of diapers and I’ve always heard great things about bumGenius but never tried them. Diapers ETC gave me the opportunity to review the bumGenius One Size Organic Diaper. We buy a lot of organic products and really…
