May has been a busy month. Mother’s Day, my birthday, Joe’s birthday, Baby 2 due any day, Joe working 6 days a week, visiting family, finishing unpacking… the list goes on. Somehow we’ve managed to fit in a few date night this month which is a few more than most months. I figure with baby 2 coming soon we needed to fit in a few nights out since we’ll be spending a lot of time at home.
Last week, thanks to my mom and Disney we were able to slip out and enjoy an evening at the movies, a rarity for us. We saw a pre-release showing of Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. We’d seen the first 3 movies in the theater and really want to see this one but didn’t think we’d get the chance.
I was super excited because I really enjoyed the other movies and I especially love Johnny Depp. We saw the 3D version which was awkward at first, wearing those glasses, but after awhile it just seemed natural. Overall, the movie was a fun and entertaining film, which is pretty much what I expecting. I certainly liked it better than the 2nd and 3rd sequel but it still didn’t compare to the 1st. (Sometimes the 1st is always the best, which is probably why they make, 2nd’s, 3rd’s and 4th’s!)
Overall, it was a fun date night and I’m so glad we were able to get out for a last minute date night before baby 2 arrives.
Check out the trailer. It’s playing in most theaters across the US right now, so go see it!
I received the free tickets to the film. The opinions expressed in this post are my own and not influenced by the company.

I don’t know how or why but Jude is obsessed with all things Halloween. He’s only 2 years old and I doubt he remembers last Halloween but all he talks about is trick-or-treat, pumpkins and spooky ghosts. So when Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare came out I thought Jude would love it. He loves dogs and he…
A tin of popcorn makes a great gift for anyone, especially guys. The Popcorn Factory sent us the Wild About You Popcorn Tower (starting at $49.99) to review and I was blow away but the amount of treats and great quality. Each little box contained a different surprise treat inside. This towering, ribbon-tied sensation also…
Before I became a mom I used to style my hair everyday but since Jude came along I’ve fallen into the tired looking mom category. It’s not that I don’t have the time or energy I just have a hard time investing time getting prettied up only to be smothered with dirty and sticky food….
I’m a novice at yoga but I try to at least look the part in class. Yoga-Clothing.com sent me the Hard Tail Rollover Capri Legging to review. They are very comfortable and the rollover top lets me position the waist at a comfortable position. I love the selection of stylish yoga apparel and yoga equipment…
Over the weekend we visited family and friends in Charleston, SC. It was a wonderful tip but boy was it hot. We spent a bit of time at the Isle of Palms on the beach which Jude absolutely loved. He spent a lot of time in the water, jumping waves and splashing. Being almost 2…
