Awkward = Funny

Discussing sexual things is always a little funny and awkward no matter who it’s with, but what’s awesome is discussing sexual things with your soon-to-be-grandmother-in-law. That’s what makes this story so great.
Joe and I were engaged on the weekend of Easter in 2007 so it was with great excitement that we were able to share the news with my family over Easter Dinner. Everyone was excited for us and the discussion was all very pleasant. Then out of nowhere the conversation dramatically switched to breast implants. Amidst the conversation my grandmother turns to Joe and says, “Well, I’ll tell you what Joe if you like big boobs, you’re in luck.” Shocked at the comment Joe just stood there without response. Most of my family was un-phased by the comment but my mom quickly stepped in and changed the subject.
