This week our family has been sick. Needless to say the house is a bit of a disaster. I’ve been doing dishes only because we run out of clean things to eat on. Last night a wonderful friend brought our family dinner. We decided to use the new Hefty Basics disposable plates so there are no dishes to be done.
We are so blessed to have a wonderful community of friends that helped provide meals to us for a month after Jude was born. I think one of the most wonderful gifts you can give a family with a new baby is an extra pair of hands. Helping with chores around the house, cooking a meal or running errands are all very appreciate. Forgo all the dirty dishes and buy new Hefty Basics tableware. Not only does it save time and water from washing dishes but because they are biodegradable you are actually helping the environment.
All-new Hefty® Basics disposable tableware product line. This line of paper plates are biodegradable in-home composting and free of inks, dyes or coatings. Hefty® Basics™ paper plates are stronger than everyday plates at a value price, and provide a great choice for people interested in an environmental option.
Hefty® Basics™ has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation™ on a quest to plant 10,000 trees, one for every ten new “Like”s on Facebook and we’d greatly appreciate your support by spreading the word!

We are a co-sleeping family. Well, at least when the babies are really small and nursing often in the middle of the night. I have found that having the baby super close makes it so much easier for those middle of the night feedings. One thing I never had with Jude but wished I owned…
Our house is always filled with music. One of the first things Joe and I realized we had in common was our love for music. We both play instruments and were briefly in a band together. I think music is a vital part of our lives and plan to support our kids in any musical…
Bed Bugs are not something you want to think even exist, much less exist in your bed. I know I don’t want bugs in my bed, yuck. So I was thrilled when I was given the opportunity to review the bed bug bedding from Shop Bedding. I received the Premium Bed Bug Proof Mattress Cover…
It’s that time of year when my skin gets all dry, itchy and cracked. The cold weather combined with the dry heat from the furnace doesn’t make for an ideal skin renewing environment. Now, I don’t use a lot of skin care products but lotion in the winter time is a must-have. In our home…
Summer is almost over but that doesn’t mean you can pack away your sunscreen. You should really protect your skin everyday, regardless of the season or weather. But you should be sure to take extra care, especially on days like today where the heat index is at an estimated 105 degrees. I really love that…
With the temperatures warming up, we are spending more and more time outside. Exposure to the sun’s harmful UV Rays increases the risk of skin cancer. Protecting your child’s skin is important since a blistering sunburn in childhood increases a person’s chances of developing melanoma later in life. There are a few simple sun-safe habits…
