Explore Blue Jay Point Park
We’ve visited Blue Jay Point Park many times but apparently I’ve never share our adventures there. Recently we went on a cold January day with some friends and had a blast exploring the trails, playing in the nature playground and watching Christmas tree being turned into mulch.
Unfortunately for us they were renovating their playground but we still managed to spend over 3 hours exploring the park and playing. We walked on the trail down to Falls Lake and enjoyed a nice peaceful morning lake view. Then we spent several hours playing in the Nature Play area. There are so many opportunities for creative play in the Nature Playground, it is one of our favorite spots. Then we stumbled upon a Christmas tree recycling program and got to watch some guys turn Christmas trees into mulch. It smelled amazing!
Finally we played in the tall grass and stopped by the garden before heading home.
