1 Day at Legoland Florida
We took our 4 boys to Legoland Florida for 1 day, and it was the best day ever. In early April, we drove down to Florida for spring vacation, our primary purpose was to visit Legoland. The boys have been asking to go to Legoland Florida for years, so the anticipation was huge, we were not disappointed.
We chose to visit the park on a Monday, hoping it would be less busy and it was perfect. The crowds were low, and we were able to ride just about every ride in the park with little wait. There was a threat of bad weather, but luckily the storm didn’t roll in until 30 minutes before the park closed.
We started our day at the new Lego Movie World to ensure we got to ride Masters of Flight without much of a wait time. I think everyone would agree that Masters of Flight was our favorite ride of the day. We loved it so much that we rode it again right before we left. (We planned on riding the Battle for Bricksburg, but the ride had to close early because of the rain storm.)
We worked our way around the park, riding as many rides as possible and making sure each kid got to do at least one activity they really wanted to do. My 4-year-old wanted to ride Coastersaurus but was just a few inches too short. (Make sure you check height requirements on the rides) He was a little disappointed, but we made sure he got to pick another awesome ride like Ford Jr. Driving School.
We made a point to ride Lego Ninjago The Ride, Lost Kingdom Adventure and Boating school, all rides that everyone in our group could enjoy. The big kids loved the Great Lego Race even though the virtual reality component wasn’t working, they rode it twice. They also rode Mia’s Riding Adventure twice. I think Legoland Florida is a great place for younger children to try out thrill rides. None of the rides are huge but many of them do offer kid size thrills.
We also checked out the Pirate’s Cove Live Water Ski Show and watched 2 different 4D movies. We briefly walked around Miniland USA but had to rush off to our 4D movie. We tried the famous Granny’s Apple Fries an they were delicious.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit Cypress Gardens, play at the Imagination Zone or visit the Water Park. I guess we’ll just have to plan another trip to Florida again soon. The kids are already asking when we can return to Legoland Florida.
