Family Date Night at Blaze Pizza
Every Friday night our family has a pizza night. It’s a such a common occurrence our children are often disappointed if we don’t have pizza on Friday night.
Pizza Night is usually pretty low-key. We either order a pizza or make our own at home, it extremely rare that we go out to get pizza. With 3 small children it’s actually rare for us to all go out to dinner at all. So last weekend when we took the boys out to dinner they seemed sad that we weren’t staying in for our regular pizza and a movie until we told them we were going OUT to get pizza. Then they were ridiculously excited!
We took a short trip across town to the new Blaze Pizza in Morrisville. Joe and I had both previewed the menu online and were excited about some of the pizza options, the boys were just thrilled we were still having pizza.
The staff at Blaze was amazing. They were kind to our family including when our little ones got a little crazy. When an ingredient we wanted wasn’t available they happily offered to substitute it for another and offered some great suggestions. They were very accommodating to our large-ish and crazy family.
We ended up ordering 4 pizzas since they only have 1 size and while 1 pizza would be more than enough for 1 adult our boys are big eaters and we wanted to make sure they had enough food. We ordered a simple cheese pizza, classic pepperoni, The Art Lover and the Green Stripe (modified). The Green Stripe was my favorite!
The boys ate the cheese and pepperoni pizzas while Joe and I split the Art Lover and Green Stripe. All of the pizzas we tried were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the crust was thin yet still a little fluffy. We also tried the blood orange lemonade, which is my new favorite drink!
The atmosphere was laid-back, fun and family friendly. I let Jude take some pictures around the restaurant, he had a blast taking picture of EVERYTHING.
We had a great time eating pizza and enjoying time with our boys at Blaze. It’s a little bit of a drive from where we live but we will certainly be going back soon.
