Paleo30 Day 7 + Day 8 – Hitting the Wall
We’re hitting a wall. I’m still hungry after eating and eating. My body misses the carbs.
On Day 7…
For breakfast we made Irish bacon, which is sort of like Canadian bacon but will a better accent. I also had 2 scrambled eggs cooked in coconut oil and green tea.
For lunch I had a salad topped with tuna and sunflower seeds.
Then for dinner I made barbacoa but my recipe was super spicy. I’d made some rice for the boys and because the heat was so intense Joe and I had some heat to counter act the spiciness of the meal.
After dinner I wanted all the snacks but managed to stay on track pretty well.
Day 8 was really tough.
I think I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. For breakfast we had Canadian bacon and eggs and a banana and some green tea.
Lunch was leftover barbacoa atop a baked sweet potato with a lot of avocado hoping to cut the heat… it was still spicy. All afternoon long I was hungry and couldn’t find anything to satisfy my hunger.
Dinner was the best meal of the day. I made a London broil with roasted asparagus topped with bacon and goat cheese. Even though dinner was good I was still hungry later that night. Joe tried to make us some pineapple ginger smoothies but I didn’t really care for them. I don’t like ginger as much as he does apparently.
Here’s hoping the carb cravings lessen over the next few days of I may just eat an entire pizza by myself.
