Cirque du Soleil Quidam Review
We saw Cirque du Soleil Quidam last night at the PNC Arena here in Raleigh. I went to college near Orlando, Florida and always wanted to attend the Cirque du Soleil show at Disney but as a poor college student I never had the money, then Quidam came to Raleigh.
Joe and I took some friends to see the show and we were all blown away. There were moments I had to pick my jaw out of my lap and other times when I was gripping the edge of my seat and others still when I was doubled over in laughter.
My favorite part of the show is what I called the “slow motion couple” (Statue) they performed these amazing feats of strength in what looked like slow motion. Joe loved the “yo yo guy” (Diablo). The costumes, live music and choreography were all absolutely stunning. Honestly, it made me miss my old roommate who loved watching French films by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
I think the show would be great for children slightly older than mine. Joe and I kept commenting to each other on the things our kids would our would not like. There were a few parts that could have been a little scary of kids but overall it was very fun and lighthearted. All together the show was magical and went beyond my expectations.
Quidam is a traveling Cirque du Soleil show that follows the adventures of a young girl, Zoe, who is bored with her life and slips into the imaginary world of Quidam.
If Quidam is coming to a city near you I highly recommend going, you will not be disappointed.
