Book of the Week: George’s Marvelous Medicine

We’ve always read to Jude, mostly short board books. But recently I thought he might be interested in longer stories so I brought out some of my favorite Roald Dahl kid’s books. We started reading a few short chapters a night and he was instantaneously hooked.

We started with George’s Marvelous Medicine and afterward I asked Jude a few questions about the book. Here is his review:

  1. My kids love reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, and even though they’re getting bigger, they still enjoy reading a few picture books out loud together, like The Seven Silly Eaters.

    1. I’ll have to look up The Seven Silly Eaters. I think reading to kids is a good way to build their attention span and build the imagination, something that most kids aren’t used to with so many TV and video games.

  2. Gimme a break, Jude is a cute reader! I now want to do this kind of video with my youngest two! We love Jamie Lee Curtis’ books – they’re fun with great illustrations and silly stories with good messages.
