One of my favorite things to give as Christmas gifts are personalized items. Anyone can buy a standard story book the day before Christmas but personalization shows that you put great thought into the gift. Just Kids Gifts offerschildren’s personalized music CD’s, personalized photo DVD’s, and personalized music DVD’s, all of which would make great gifts.
I wanted to get a personalized book for Noah to celebrate his birth but because we had a home birth it was a little challenging to find a book that didn’t reference the hospital so I opted to get a book for Jude. Every night before bed we read books, sing and pray with Jude. So I got him the Gods Special Gifts to Me Personalized Book. Because Jude is a fairly unique name he knows the story is about him and I can tell it makes him feel very special. There is even a part at the end of the story that mentions his friends by name and he thinks that is pretty funny.

Every week a group of my mom friends get together for a play date. We alternate locations so as not to strain one mom and to let the kids explore new places and toys. Sometimes the group can get as large as 15 moms plus baby which can get pretty crazy. It’s a lot…
Last night Joe and I had a fabulous time at the Pandemonium show in Raleigh. I’ve seen Stomp twice so I was super excited but Joe had no idea what to expect. I think the show started a little late because there was an ultra long line at will call but that’s OK cause we…
I love all the delicious sugary sweet holiday treats this time of year. Holiday treats are fun for everyone but nobody enjoys a sugar crazed toddler. So this year I’m planning to add more healthy treats to my boys’ stockings, treats like Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars. Nature’s Bakery makes delicious fig based snack bars in…
When we first started cloth diapering I picked up a used Thirsties Cover to just give it a try. I really like the design and fit but I soon fell in love with convenience and easy of pocket diapers. However, I just rediscovered Thirsties and they just keep improving the great design I first liked…

Joe and I had our first date at a Chinese restaurant on the day after Thanksgiving. We were the only people in the whole place and our waiter sat at the table across from us rolling silverware and ensuring we were never low on drinks. It’s most certainly a date I will never forget, for…
