Every night before bed I read a couple of books to Jude. He gets to pick out the books and we snuggle in the chair or on the floor to read. It’s a great way to wind down after a busy day and to be honest I really love the cuddles! It’s also a great way to teach and encourage Jude to enjoy reading.
We are always looking for new books to read. I particularly love to introduce him to my favorite books. One of my all time favorite books is Corduroy. I am so happy that have finally been able to share Corduroy with my son. Now I hope to pass it along to my family and friends through the KinderCare Read. Share. Give Book Sharing Program. KinderCare understand the importance of reading to children. They are encouraging families to continue reading this summer and helping to place books in the hands of children in need through the Read. Share. Give Book Sharing Program.
Did you know that as a nation…
Two-thirds of 4th graders are below reading proficiency and 83% of low-income 4th graders are below proficient (National Assessment of Educational Progress)
Some 42 percent of American children (31MM) lack the income to cover basic needs including child care and access to books (National Assessment of Educational Progress)
In some of the lowest-income neighborhoods in the country there is only one book available for every 300 children. (University of Nevada Study)
44 million adults in the U.S. can’t read well enough to read a simple story to a child. (National Adult Literacy Survey)

In preparation for Halloween like making Halloween cards for our family and friends. The boys have really been into pop-up cards lately so I decided to create a fun pop-up Jack-o-lantern card. I know a lot of people wear eyeglasses, people like my husband. He often wears contacts but to be honest I love it when he wears his glasses. Glasses are sexy in my opinion. There is just something about a guy wearing a stylish pair of glasses that makes me swoon. He has several…
Over the past nine years, I’ve used a lot of different baby gear, and I’ve found that one of my must-have items is a great baby carrier. It’s simple: You need to get stuff done, but babies demand being held. And while snuggling a sweet little baby 24/7 sounds awesome, it isn’t practical. Baby carriers…
