Every night before bed I read a couple of books to Jude. He gets to pick out the books and we snuggle in the chair or on the floor to read. It’s a great way to wind down after a busy day and to be honest I really love the cuddles! It’s also a great way to teach and encourage Jude to enjoy reading.
We are always looking for new books to read. I particularly love to introduce him to my favorite books. One of my all time favorite books is Corduroy. I am so happy that have finally been able to share Corduroy with my son. Now I hope to pass it along to my family and friends through the KinderCare Read. Share. Give Book Sharing Program. KinderCare understand the importance of reading to children. They are encouraging families to continue reading this summer and helping to place books in the hands of children in need through the Read. Share. Give Book Sharing Program.
Did you know that as a nation…

In some of the lowest-income neighborhoods in the country there is only one book available for every 300 children. (University of Nevada Study)
44 million adults in the U.S. can’t read well enough to read a simple story to a child. (National Adult Literacy Survey)

We love music and we love to dance. We’ve been listening to the Alvin and The Chipmunks Squeakquel Soundtrack a lot lately. Jude loves to learn new dance moves and is gradually learning the words to some of the songs. It’s fun to watch his verbal and motor skills develop while we’re having a fun…
It’s that time of the year that I start panicking about Christmas gifts and cards and decorations and all that accompanies the Holiday season. However, of the last few years I’m learning that sometimes gift giving can be as simple as a picture. Photo Christmas cards are beloved by our family members, especially when they…
The air had just a slightest crispness to it this morning and memories flooded my mind with fall days past. Cool air, leaves falling, warm drinks by hot fires and fresh fall baked goods, these are the scents that bring me joy for the coming fall season. The Febreze Home Harvest Collection takes all of…
On Saturday we took a little road trip to Greensboro, NC to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live. We kept telling Jude we were going to see Yo Gabba Gabba but he had no idea what we meant. Greensboro is just a little over an hour’s drive so we went a little early to have lunch…

Here for some of the survey insights they found regarding spending and saving habits when preparing for baby: With annual childcare costs hovering around $6,000, it’s crucial to choose (and pay!)…
My mom works hard, for over 20 years she’s owned her own accounting company and has seen awesome success. She spends a lot of time in front of her computer and I’d like to keep her “seeing” more awesomeness. As a business owner paying for your own insurance is costly and may not always be…
