Joe LOVES Ice Cream. I love it too but it does not love me back. I’m trying to lose this baby weight and our nightly bowl of ice cream is NOT helping. Well, I have finally discovered a way to enjoy an occasional frozen treat and stay on my weight lose course, Weight Watchers Ice Cream.
Weight Watchers has a new line of Frozen Treats like the Snack Size Ice Cream Sandwiches, Dark Chocolate Dulcé de Leché Dessert Bars, Strawberry Fruit Bar, and Strawberry Smoothie Bar. I’m a total chocolate lover but I think my favorite is the Strawberry Smoothie Bar, it’s a blend of low-fat strawberry frozen yogurt and real strawberries. This bar is a good source of vitamin C and has the creamy goodness of a smoothie with just 60 calories and a PointsPlus value of 2 per bar.
I do also really like the Snack Size Ice Cream Sandwiches which are the perfect size to give me my chocolate fix. They are made with Dutch Chocolate and Vanilla Bean and at only 80 calories each that’s a win in my book. The Dark Chocolate Dulce de Leche Dessert Bars were good but Dulce de Leche is always a little too sweet for me. I know how can something be too sweet? And the Strawberry Fruit Bars are just pure fresh strawberry goodness, perfect for warm weather or to sooth a sore throat.

I always have such a hard time coming up with creative yet healthy lunch options for our family. Like most kids, Jude loves chicken nuggets but we don’t have the budget to go out to lunch every day plus most fast food nuggets are a healthy option. So we tried Perdue’s new whole grain chicken…
Abel is almost 4 years old and I just now got around to creating his baby book. Hey, he’s baby number 4 so he’s lucky he even has a baby book. Life is busy and as parents we don’t always have the time to record every precious memory with our child as frequently as we…
Before I became a mother I thought I knew everything. I was wrong. Becoming a mom made me doubt myself more than ever before in my life. All of the things I thought I knew about babies and myself just seemed to leave my brain. However, after talking to other mothers I learned that…

Over the weekend Jude and I had the opportunity to go on a mother/son date. We saw the preview screening of Madagascar 3. Jude has seen the first Madagascar movie and he loved it so I knew it would be a big hit. I was a little concerned because we were seeing the 3D version…
Every night before bed we snuggle in the bed and read several books to Jude. He picks out his favorites and we recite the same story over and over and over. It’s become so consistent that we don’t even have to look at the pages and sometimes he’ll just recite the lines to us….
