I like to think of myself as a fairly organized individual. I have a few well operating systems in place so our home runs smoothly. However, there are always areas that could use improvement especially as our family grows. With our recent move I found myself struggling to set up new organizational systems in certain areas, especially our home office.
I think I have a pretty good filing system down, my primary struggle is with organizing all of our various office supplies, craft supplies, and To-Be-Done projects. Deb Zechini of Order in the House is a professional organizer that helped me set-up an effective office. What would have taken me several days to work out she had finished in about an hour. (With occasional interruptions from a curious 2 year old.)

After we knocked out my desk she gave me some great tips on how to organize a few other trouble spots in my home. Like putting our medicines in a bin, on a top shelf, in the linen closet so curious little hands don’t get into them. Deb was wonderful to work with and ever so patient as I bounced between sorting through boxes and entertaining Jude. She’s a mom and understand the demands and challenges of running a home efficiently.

A few days after his 1st birthday Simon took his first steps. I was a week full of firsts and all very exciting. Being the third child means I have yet to get any pictures or videos of him walking, mostly because his brothers try to “help” him and he ends up falling down more…
Since Jude was old enough to focus on the television he has been enamored with Yo Gabba Gabba! We own several DVDs, CDs, toys and have even had the pleasure of seeing several live shows and he still never tires of it. Joe and I love that Yo Gabba Gabba incorporates a lot of music…
Jude loves shoes which a good thing since his little feet grow fast and it seems we are always shoe shopping. Toddlers need good shoes since their little feet are still forming and learning to walk. Soft soles and flexible fabric are important in helping kids develop properly. Of course there are a lot of…
Joe is a T-shirt and jeans sort of guy, when he’s not at work that is. He typically wears band t-shirts or other trendy topical shirts so when his birthday rolled around I knew I couldn’t go wrong with a novelty t-shirt. So I began looking around Nacho Mama Tees and found The Winchester Bar…
Babies are soft and cuddly therefore it is only logical that baby blankets also be soft and cuddly. The Doodle and Juju Blankopotamus is not only soft and cuddly but also super cute. In other words, perfect for cute snugly babies. We received a Blankopotamus blanket in the Wallflower pattern and I love it. The…
Since birth Jude has been a pretty good sleeper. I count us very blessed to have such an easy going little guy. However, there are always hard nights and seasons when your easy going baby has a hard time sleeping through the night. When Jude was about 6 months old we moved him to his…
