I like to think of myself as a fairly organized individual. I have a few well operating systems in place so our home runs smoothly. However, there are always areas that could use improvement especially as our family grows. With our recent move I found myself struggling to set up new organizational systems in certain areas, especially our home office.
I think I have a pretty good filing system down, my primary struggle is with organizing all of our various office supplies, craft supplies, and To-Be-Done projects. Deb Zechini of Order in the House is a professional organizer that helped me set-up an effective office. What would have taken me several days to work out she had finished in about an hour. (With occasional interruptions from a curious 2 year old.)

After we knocked out my desk she gave me some great tips on how to organize a few other trouble spots in my home. Like putting our medicines in a bin, on a top shelf, in the linen closet so curious little hands don’t get into them. Deb was wonderful to work with and ever so patient as I bounced between sorting through boxes and entertaining Jude. She’s a mom and understand the demands and challenges of running a home efficiently.

We saw Cirque du Soleil Quidam last night at the PNC Arena here in Raleigh. I went to college near Orlando, Florida and always wanted to attend the Cirque du Soleil show at Disney but as a poor college student I never had the money, then Quidam came to Raleigh. Joe and I took some…

Work smarter, not harder. I love it when I find a product that is just plain smart. That is why I love the Activeion Ionator. I know it sounds like a superhero and to be honest (cause that is what we do on this blog) it is. At first glance, the Ionator looks like a…
Noah sleeps in the bed with us at night. The main reason he sleeps with us is because it makes nighttime feedings sooooo much easier. I can just roll over and nurse him without either of us fully waking up. But to nurse easily at night I need comfortable pajamas that allow me to nurse…
I’ve never been a fan of cold weather until I discovered the joy of scarves. Even when you’re bundled head to toe in coats and winter garb you can still add a nice punch of color and style to your ensemble with a nice scarf. I love the beautiful turquoise Alexis Paisley Pashmina I received…
Sometimes a sponge just isn’t right for the job and a dish cloth isn’t absorbent enough and a paper towel is too flimsy. Well, now there is the SKOY cloth, an all-purpose cloth that’s 100% biodegradable. I must say I am in love with my SKOY cloths. It’s the cleaning cloth I’ve been looking for…
