I never thought I’d say this but since becoming a mom my fashion requirements have changed somewhat. I find it difficult to put my needs first and typically gravitate toward practical rather than fashionable. Hence all my cute handbags and purse are packed away in the closet longing to be used while I’ve resolved to use the diaper bag as my purse. And while it’s practical to use one bag to carry all my necessities a standard black diaper bag is hardly stylish.
I finally decided it was time changing things up and hang up my boring diaper bag for good.. or at least until the next baby arrives. Since Jude is no longer a bity baby he doesn’t require as much stuff, but I still need space to carry all of his stuff and mine so a large bag, which just so happy to be hip right now, is in order. After browsing the all the wonderful Namaste bags and weighing the benefits of each I settled on the Monroe. To be honest it wasn’t my first choice but after comparing all the bags I realized as trendy as I’d like to be I’m more of a simple kind of gal. I did spice things up a bit with the peacock color. After using this bag for a few days I’m very happy with my decision. It is a large bag but no larger than my diaper bag. I really like the length of the straps which make it easy for wearing over your shoulder. There are three main compartments so I can separate mine stuff from Judes. (no one wants cookie crumbs on their wallet. Now I feel a little more like a hip mom.

My boys love Entenmann’s Little Bites. Sometimes I pack them in their school lunches or we just have them for a snack. This coming weekend they will take them on their scout camping trip. I like that they come in a variety of flavors and are made with real ingredients, and never contain any high…
On Saturday I thought it would be a good idea to do some baking and cooking and family time and Christmas preparation. I may have been a little over-enthusiastic. I’ve never been much of a baker but the holidays bring out my baking side and sometimes things turn out pretty good. I managed to make…
Last night Joe and I celebrated out 4th wedding anniversary. I haven’t had sushi in a really long time so we decided to go to Sono Sushi for dinner. We went to Sono last year for our 3rd Anniversary so we thought we’d go again this year. The only difference is this year we brought…
If you were to make a soundtrack to your life which songs would it include? My soundtrack would be very diverse and probably a little crazy. I’m sure there would be some slower songs like David Gray’s Life in Slow Motion or The Smiths’ Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want. Then there…
I’m sure you are aware that the Winter Olympics are going on right now, if not you might want to buy a TV. I love the Olympics. I have always wondered what it would be like to compete for a gold medal. Well, D3Publishers has made it possible for you to be a part…
Jude’s birthday party is next weekend. We are having a pirate themed party at our local park. So I knew I wanted to find some cute pirate invitations to mail out to our family and friends. These days people typcially send electronic invitations, which have their benefits, but there is nothing like getting a well…
