Over the weekend we visited family and friends in Charleston, SC. It was a wonderful tip but boy was it hot. We spent a bit of time at the Isle of Palms on the beach which Jude absolutely loved. He spent a lot of time in the water, jumping waves and splashing. Being almost 2 he doesn’t like to sit still for anything, especially sunscreen application.
I often worry about Jude’s pale, sensitive skin in the sun so using the UV Skinz gave me great peace of mind. We received the UV long sleeve Skinz in the Jesse color along with a pair of matching swim trunks. At first he wasn’t too fond of the long sleeves but after he started having fun in the ocean he completely forgot about his sleeves. I was concerned it would be a challenge to put on and take off of him, but it was much quicker to use than sunscreen.
I love the great color selection of Kids UV swim shirts.
About UV Skinz
UV Skinz was born in December of 2001 only a few month’s after Rhonda Sparks lost her husband, Darren (32)succumbed to skin cancer. It was this experience of having to raise their three little boys (1, 3, and 6 at the time of his death) on her own that gave her the drive and determination to educate consumers about the importance of proper sun protection, while still not losing site of how valuable it is to PLAY and HAVE FUN outdoors!

I’ve recently starting attending yoga classes at my local YMCA. Last month I vowed to try as many new exercise classes available and fell in love with yoga. The gym offers mats you can use during yoga class but there is something about using using your own mat which gives you a little more peace….
I’m a t-shirt kind of mom but I like a slightly nicer tee than the free ones they hand out at store openings. Comfort is my number one goal while chasing around my active 2 year old. But comfort doesn’t have to mean frumpy. I typically wear a feminine cut V-neck shirt and jeans or…
I have one kid, ONE, and I feel like I’m doing laundry almost e-v-e-r-y day. Yes, my two year old is 100% boy and LOVES to make a mess whenever possible but I can’t even imagine what my laundry load my look like if I had multiple children. Honestly, I don’t remember my mom doing…
I love a comfortable summer dress. I can already tell I’m going to live in my new Effortless Raglan Dress from Fresh Produce. I wore it on Mother’s Day with a pair of tan flats and a fun scarf. It was the perfect mix of casual and dressy for a day out with my boys….
Most of my reviews are for products which I was provided free of charge specifically for reviewing purposes. Well, I did receive these Christmas gifts free of charge but not for the intent of reviews. But as a mom review blogger I want to provide “honest” reviews of products I find and use so here…
I think most adults have made their fair share of poor financial choices, I know Joe and I have. We are working hard to recover from financial mistakes we made many years ago and I’m determined to teach my boys how to be financially responsible so they don’t have to endure the hardship we have….
