Over the weekend we visited family and friends in Charleston, SC. It was a wonderful tip but boy was it hot. We spent a bit of time at the Isle of Palms on the beach which Jude absolutely loved. He spent a lot of time in the water, jumping waves and splashing. Being almost 2 he doesn’t like to sit still for anything, especially sunscreen application.
I often worry about Jude’s pale, sensitive skin in the sun so using the UV Skinz gave me great peace of mind. We received the UV long sleeve Skinz in the Jesse color along with a pair of matching swim trunks. At first he wasn’t too fond of the long sleeves but after he started having fun in the ocean he completely forgot about his sleeves. I was concerned it would be a challenge to put on and take off of him, but it was much quicker to use than sunscreen.
I love the great color selection of Kids UV swim shirts.
About UV Skinz
UV Skinz was born in December of 2001 only a few month’s after Rhonda Sparks lost her husband, Darren (32)succumbed to skin cancer. It was this experience of having to raise their three little boys (1, 3, and 6 at the time of his death) on her own that gave her the drive and determination to educate consumers about the importance of proper sun protection, while still not losing site of how valuable it is to PLAY and HAVE FUN outdoors!

We love salsa in our house, in fact Jude will eat fresh salsa by the handful. So I was thrilled to review Mrs. Wages All Natural Instant Salsa. We first tried the Salsa Verde which was so simple to make, just add tomatillos. I love that Mrs. Wages has all the spices combined in a…
Tomorrow, Saturday, September 7th is National Clean Out Your Garage Day. Our garage has been a catch-all for things we didn’t know what to do with after we moved it. It’s now been over a year since we moved and we are finally getting around to cleaning out the garage. Purging, organizing and a whole…
A few weeks ago when Joe’s parents were in town for a visit his dad told us about this really cool coffee mug his co-worker owned. He didn’t know the name of it or where to get it but from his description I figured out that he was referring to the Contigo Travel Mug. The…
My husband is a Star Wars nerd. He’s also a computer nerd. So he was totally stoked to review the Mimobot Darth Vader USB Flash Drive. So I’ll let him tell you all about how awesome it is… The Darth Vader Mimobot drive is so cool looking that I almost don’t want to use it….
Sometimes Jude can be a picky eater and I don’t want to let him develop bad habits but most specifically an unhealthy lifestyle. I love that HappyBaby is committed to making baby and toddler food as healthy and delicious as homemade with the essential nutrients needed for optimal growth and development. I wasn’t aware…
School starts in just a few weeks which means back-to-school shopping. Jude has to wear a uniform to school so I don’t have to think too much about his daily outfits but he does need non-school fall clothes. I’ve always been a fan of Carter’s clothing for my babies and toddlers, after all they are…
