Over the weekend we visited family and friends in Charleston, SC. It was a wonderful tip but boy was it hot. We spent a bit of time at the Isle of Palms on the beach which Jude absolutely loved. He spent a lot of time in the water, jumping waves and splashing. Being almost 2 he doesn’t like to sit still for anything, especially sunscreen application.
I often worry about Jude’s pale, sensitive skin in the sun so using the UV Skinz gave me great peace of mind. We received the UV long sleeve Skinz in the Jesse color along with a pair of matching swim trunks. At first he wasn’t too fond of the long sleeves but after he started having fun in the ocean he completely forgot about his sleeves. I was concerned it would be a challenge to put on and take off of him, but it was much quicker to use than sunscreen.
I love the great color selection of Kids UV swim shirts.
About UV Skinz
UV Skinz was born in December of 2001 only a few month’s after Rhonda Sparks lost her husband, Darren (32)succumbed to skin cancer. It was this experience of having to raise their three little boys (1, 3, and 6 at the time of his death) on her own that gave her the drive and determination to educate consumers about the importance of proper sun protection, while still not losing site of how valuable it is to PLAY and HAVE FUN outdoors!

I hope all the mamas had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I took the day off from blogging and spent all day with my family. It was a beautiful day. Today I’m back in full force with more great giveaways coming up. But first I want to remind you of a few giveaways that end tonight…
Jude is really into toys you can push around right now. And he’s really into ducks. Well, he’s really into dogs but ducks are a close second. Either way he was very excited when I gave him his new Push Along Duck from ImagiPLAY. After hugging it several times and saying, “du, du” he pushed…
One of the best ways to help teach your child colors is through books. That is the first recommended way to teach colors in our post, Ways to Teach Your Toddler Colors. There are so many brightly colored books for toddlers about colors we decided to create a list of a few of our favorites….
Our new house has this amazing screened in porch. It’s perfect for all of the lovely spring afternoons Jude and I like to spend outside. Jude is really into wind chimes so I the first thing I wanted to get for our new porch was a set of wind chimes. Plow & Hearth has an…
These past few months I’ve been working with Wisk to promote and review the new Stain Spectrum Technology. I must admit I have been very impressed with the results of each test I have conducted. Today I will be experimenting with Wisk’s ability to remove Oil Stains like those found in lip gloss. First, I…
We love taking road trips but often the kids get bored. Jude isn’t quite old enough to use markers or other art products without making a mess. However, Crayola understands that kids like being creative but mom and dad don’t always like the mess that creativity leaves behind, so they created Color Wonder. Crayola Color…
