Disney Caribbean Beach Resort Review: A Peaceful Island Escape with Skyliner Magic
If you’re looking for a laid-back Disney resort with beautiful scenery, convenient transportation, and plenty of amenities, this Disney Caribbean Beach Resort review will give you a closer look at what it’s really like to stay here.
I recently stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort on a special mother-daughter trip with my mom, and we truly loved our stay. The resort has a peaceful island vibe that makes it feel like a relaxing escape after busy park days.

While Caribbean Beach Resort is one of the larger Disney resorts and can feel spread out, it offers so many perks that make the size worth it, especially the Skyliner access, beautiful grounds, and fantastic dining.
We stayed in a Preferred Room in Martinique village, which gave us a great location close to the main building and an easy walk to nearby dining at Disney’s Riviera Resort.

Here’s everything you need to know in this Disney Caribbean Beach Resort review to decide if this resort might be the right fit for your Disney vacation.
Rooms at Disney Caribbean Beach Resort
One thing I really appreciated during our stay, and something worth highlighting in this Disney Caribbean Beach Resort review, is how spacious and comfortable the rooms felt.
The rooms feature bright, tropical Disney theming or The Little Mermaid-inspired theming, giving them a fun yet relaxing vibe.

Room Types Available
Guests staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort can choose from several room categories:
Standard Rooms
- 2 Queen beds or 1 King bed
- Sleeps up to 4 adults
- Approximately 314 sq ft
- Bright tropical theming
Preferred Rooms
- Located closer to Old Port Royale (main dining and lobby)
- Same room layout as standard rooms
- Great for guests who want shorter walks

- Views of the lake or pool areas
5th Sleeper Rooms

Our Preferred Room in Martinique was in an excellent location, close to the main building yet peaceful and quiet. It was also an easy walk to Disney’s Riviera Resort, which offered additional dining options.

Dining Options at Caribbean Beach Resort
Dining was another highlight of our stay and definitely worth mentioning in this Disney Caribbean Beach Resort review.
The main dining area is located at Old Port Royale, the central hub of the resort.
Centertown Market
The quick-service restaurant at the resort is Centertown Market.
During our stay we found:
- The food was delicious
- Meals were prepared quickly
- There were plenty of options
Menu options include:
- Caribbean-inspired dishes
- rice bowls
- sandwiches
- salads
- kid-friendly meals
It’s a great place to grab breakfast before heading to the parks or a quick dinner after a long day.
Additional Dining Nearby
Another perk of staying here is the easy access to Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, one of Disney’s most popular restaurants.
Because many villages are within walking distance of Disney’s Riviera Resort, you have even more dining options during your stay.

Pools and Resort Amenities
Even though it was too cold for us to enjoy the pool during our visit, the pool area looked like an amazing place to relax.
The main feature pool is Fuentes del Morro Pool, which includes:
- A Spanish fortress-themed waterslide
- Zero-entry pool
- Two hot tubs
- Splash area for kids
There are also six quieter leisure pools located throughout the villages.

One of my favorite spots at the resort was Caribbean Cay, the small island area with a playground and Adirondack chairs overlooking the water. It perfectly captures the peaceful, laid-back vibe of Caribbean Beach and makes a great spot to relax in the evening.
Other amenities include:
- Jogging paths
- Bike rentals
- Playground
- Beach areas with hammocks
- Outdoor movie nights

Transportation at Caribbean Beach Resort
One of the biggest advantages highlighted in this Disney Caribbean Beach Resort review is transportation.
The resort has fantastic Skyliner access, which makes getting to two parks incredibly easy.
Guests can ride the Disney Skyliner directly to:
- EPCOT
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
There are two Skyliner stations nearby, including one at Disney’s Riviera Resort, which many guests can walk to depending on their village.
For other parks, Disney buses provide transportation to:
- Magic Kingdom
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom
This combination of Skyliner and bus access makes the resort surprisingly convenient despite its size.

Who Caribbean Beach Resort Is Best For
Based on my experience for this Disney Caribbean Beach Resort review, this resort is a great fit for:
- Guests who want Skyliner access
- Families looking for moderate Disney resort pricing
- Travelers who enjoy beautiful scenery and relaxing resort vibes
- Guests who want easy access to Riviera dining
- People who like walking paths and outdoor spaces
