On a recent trip to Mexico, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen. This adult-only All-Inclusive Resort is located in Playa Del Carmen, about a 45-minute ride from the Cancun airport. There are so many amazing all-inclusive resorts to choose from when visiting Mexico, but this was an incredible experience. The restaurants, pool, entertainment, and top-notch service make this a great choice for a kid-free vacation.

You can choose from various options, such as a resort-view room with double beds or an ocean-view room with a king bed. All rooms have an en-suite soaking tub, balcony, and hammock. There are also options to upgrade to a swim-up suite or the presidential suite.

When you order room service, your food is placed inside a “magic box,” so you can receive it without answering the door.

Everything I ate during my stay was delicious. I was pleased with the quality of the food and surprised by the numerous options available. The expansive breakfast buffet at Spice was one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve seen, with options like an avocado toast station, made-to-order omelets, fresh fruits, traditional Mexican pastries, and more.

Activities

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen offers plenty of activities throughout the day. Most people spend the day lounging by the pool or laying on the beach. Cabanas by the pool are available for an additional cost, but plenty of free chairs are available.

The main pool is where you will find most of the entertainment and activities, such as trivia, games, and music. There is also a quiet pool for those who want a break from the excitement.

The beach is directly accessible from the resort; however, it is rather small. Like many of the beaches in the area, it is often seaweed-covered during the summer months. The water directly in front of the resort isn’t ideal for swimming as there are rocks. However, you can walk a short distance down the beach for more accessible swimming conditions.

For an additional cost, you can indulge in the amazing on-site spa, which offers a sauna, steam room, hydrotherapy tub, and a Mayan steam ritual called Temazcal.

If you like to work off all the extra calories you consume on your all-inclusive vacation, Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen offers a fitness center, roof-top tennis courts, and several aqua fitness classes like Aqua Bikes.

The evening entertainment doesn’t disappoint. Each night, there is a different event, such as a silent disco, live music, and amazing shows.
