Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a theme park celebrating filmmaking and films like Star Wars, Toy Story, and Indiana Jones. It is one of the most popular parks because it has some of the newest and most exciting attractions at Disney World.

Hollywood Studios honors the legacy of filmmaking in Hollywood with attractions like Twilight Zone’s Tower of Terror and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. In recent years, the Disney Imagineers have added immersive lands like Toy Story Land and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, making this park a fan favorite.

Getting to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

There are several ways to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios based on where you are staying.

Taking a Bus to Hollywood Studios

Most of the Walt Disney World resorts offer bus services to Hollywood Studios. Buses run regularly before and after the park closes, but check the bus schedule in the My Disney Experience app for specific details.

Depending upon where you stay, your Disney World resort may have quick transportation options like the Skyliner.

Taking the Skyliner

Guest staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Art of Animation Resort, or Pop Century Resort can take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios.

Taking a Boat to Hollywood Studios

Guests staying at the Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club Resort, Yacht Club Resort, and the Swan and Dolphin Resort have Friendship Boats that will take you to Hollywood Studios.

Walking to Hollywood Studios

If staying at the Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club Resort, Yacht Club Resort, and Swan and Dolphin, you may prefer to use the walking paths to get to Hollywood Studios. The walk will take about 20-30 minutes.

Driving to Hollywood Studios

Guests not staying on the property must pay for parking in the Hollywood Studios parking log. Resort guests and Annual pass holders do not have to pay for parking at the park.

How to Use Genie+ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

What is Genie+?

Genie+ is a paid add-on service for guests in each Disney World park. The Disney Genie+ service allows you to bypass the standby line at selected attractions via Lightning Lane, and you may pay for the privilege of skipping the line on two high-demand attractions a day by purchasing Individual Lighting Lanes.

Genie+ is priced per day per ticket. Prices vary by park and park capacity.

Individual Lightning Lanes charge a separate fee for Lightning Lane access to the more popular rides. Genie+ cannot be used on rides that have Individual Lighting Lanes.

Disney Movie Magic projections on the Chinese Theater featuring famous Disney movie moments.

Wonderful World of Animation Celebrating over 90 years of Disney and Pixar animation. This combination of projections and fireworks at the Chinese Theater occurs right after Disney Movie Magic.

Fantasmic! Located at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, Fantasmic! is an extravagant musical featuring Mickey and many of your favorite Disney characters.

Special Events at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney After Hours

Disney After Hours is a separately ticketed event from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Using your ticket, you can enter the park starting at 7:00 p.m. The event allows guests to enjoy Hollywood Studios rides and attractions with lower crowds. The event also includes ice cream, popcorn, and select beverages.

Disney Jollywood Nights

Disney Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event that will take place on select nights from November 11 to December 20. The event occurs from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and ticketholders can enter the park as early as 7:00 p.m.

The event will include holiday entertainment, unique meet and greets, and festive snacks.
