Cuban Picadillo

·

In 2011, after my second son was born a friend brought us dinner. She had made her Cuban grandmother in-law’s Picadillo recipe. It was delicious and I immediately asked for the recipe. Since then I’ve made these recipe dozens of times and I’ve tweaked it to fit our family’s needs but it’s still ultimately the same.

I know there are many different variations of Cuban Picadillo but I really love the combination of the savory and sweetness in this recipe.
