In 2011, after my second son was born, a friend brought us dinner. She had made her Cuban grandmother-in-law’s Cuban Picadillo recipe. It was delicious and I immediately asked for the recipe. Since then, I’ve made these recipes dozens of times, and I’ve tweaked them to fit our family’s needs, but it’s still ultimately the same.
I know there are many different variations of Cuban Picadillo but I really love the combination of the savory and sweetness in this recipe.
