Rainbow Cloud Craft

· ·

In the hot summer afternoons we like to do at-home activities together like arts and crafts. My boys love the idea of clouds puking rainbows. They’re elementary aged boys, they love gross stuff. So I grabbed some construction paper, scissors, markers and glue sticks and we made our own rainbow clouds.

I made my rainbow cloud happy but some of their creations were a lot less pleasant. However, we all had a great time getting creative with our rainbow craft.

Supplies

  • rainbow construction paper
  • scissors
  • glue stick
  • markers or crayons

What to do

  1. On a white piece of paper, draw a cloud shape, maybe give it a face. Cut out the cloud with scissors.
  2. Cut out long strips of paper from different colors of construction paper. Remember the rainbow is ROY G. BIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet) but you can make your rainbow as colorful as you like.
  3. Glue the strips on to the bottom of your cloud.

Get creative and have fun. My boys made puking clouds, thunder clouds shooting lightning, disco clouds with rainbow colors coming from all sides, etc….
