Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
My kids love bananas, but they also love to forget that we have them and I usually end up with several overripe bananas. We often peel and freeze our bananas to make them into smoothies later but occastionally I will make banana bread or muffins.
This past weekend I had 2 little helpers in the kitchen that loved assisting in making chocolate chip banana muffins. They only at about 1/4 of the chocolate chip bag!
Here’s the recipe we made together:
Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large mashed bananas
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line muffin tin with muffin liners.

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.

In a separate bowl mix mashed banana, egg, melted butter and milk.

Stir banana mixture into flour mixture until well blended.

Add chocolate chips

Divide batter among muffin tin cups filling about 3/4 of the way.

Make 28-20 minutes until tops are golden.

Let muffins cool on a rack and enjoy.
