NC Snow

10 days ago we had bad thunderstorms with tornado warnings. I’ve always heard it said that if it thunders in winter it will snow 10 days later. Sure enough it snowed last night. It was just a light dusting but the kids got a kick out of it.

We bundle them up (they insisted on wearing the snowpants Grandma got them) and went outside for about 5 minutes before complaining of it being too cold. Then they came inside ripped off all their clothes and stood by the fire.

nc snowWe don’t get a lot of snow in NC so this might be all we see this winter. I’m OK with is since I don’t like cold weather AT ALL but it sure is pretty and brings great joy to the boys.

Most young children thrive in a structured environment and Jude is no exception. We may ask him to do the same thing every day but he might throw a fit one day and be compliant the next. I’m learning that building structure into our everyday activities has helped cut back on tantrums A LOT!  …

  • Hi Dada. Hi Good Morning.

Mama. It seems simple enough. Two syllables. It’s usually the first word for most babies.  Not Jude. He prefers to call me “Good Morning”. That’s right “Good Morning” is my name. Joe and I walk in the door and Jude proclaims “Hi Dada. Hi Good Morning.” We’ve tried teaching him that he can call me…
