Sous-Chef Jude

Jude has become very interested in cooking and baking. A few months ago I let him help me make some brownies for my mom’s birthday and he’s been baking/cooking with me every since. He started with baking brownies, muffins, cupcakes, etc… but now he’s helping me with prepping dinner. 

Most recently he discovered steaming broccoli. He thinks the steamer basket is super cool and loves to break apart the “trees” of broccoli. I actually found my steamer basket and real broccoli hiding in his play kitchen the other day. I can’t be too upset about it him stealing my cooking tools especially since he’s started eating broccoli now. 


Now that it’s fall we are baking more, especially chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Today I wanted to try something new. Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins. I love chocolate so I though this would be a good idea. They are good but I think I like the regular Chocolate Chip Pumpkin muffins best! Of course, Jude had to help me add ingredients and stir it all together.

He’s makes a pretty good sous-chef.
