Can Guy and Girls be "Just Friends"
Do you think that guys and girls and be “just friends”?
We see it a lot on TV shows, like The Big Bang Theory, where a girl and guy are “just friends” but then they end up kissing and the whole relationship changes.
I think that you can have friendships with people of the opposite sex without it always being sexual. However, I do believe that a lot of our relationships are based on attraction, physical or personality. I can tell you honestly that I find all of my friends attractive, not in sexual way but in that something about them attracts me. Therefore, I think a lot of times we misinterpret attractions.
But then there are times when two people are “just friends” and over time their friendship evolves and becomes a beautiful “love” relationship. I know with Joe, I was certainly attracted to him before we met but over time our relationship developed and now we’ve been married for 4 years and have 2 kids. I guess we’re “more than just friends” now.
The Big Bang Theory focuses a lot on the relationship between the guys and Penny but then in season 4 Penny gets some girl friends, Amy and Bernadette. Do you think having relationships with the opposite sex can be non-sexual?
