A Fun Work Environment Can Make All The Difference

Before I became a Stay at Home Mom I worked in various areas of the communication industry, from video product to graphic design. One thing I loved about working in the creative industry is the laid back atmosphere at the office. Sometimes business can get stuffy and impersonal but I find I do my best work when I’m relaxed. I think a lot of employers today understand that a comfortable work environment fosters creativity and increases productivity.

When I worked with a local video production company we often had group lunches, after-hours fun activities and play practical jokes on each other. Of course everyone was respectful of the work that needed to be accomplished but building relationships with co-workers made it all that more enjoyable to come into work.

The Big Bang Theory crew is always having fun at work. I’m no astrophysicist but I can imagine it’s not the most exciting industry, then again I could be wrong. Either way, I think that relationships like those of the Big Bang Theory crew are very important. And if your lucky enough to have co-workers that are smart and witty then you just might be living in a sitcom.
