On of the biggest selling point for this house was the screened in porch. I love being outside even if the weather is a little too hot or a little too cold. I crave being outdoors. But with 2 small children the outdoors doesn’t always love us back.
Reasons why I love our screened in porch:
Keeps out the bugs
Keeps In Jude
Is an extension of our living space
Covered storage for our outdoor gear
Just a peaceful place to be
Here’s Jude playing with his toys. He loves playing on the porch. To the left is our recycling area. We try to be environmentally conscious.
This is the adult sitting area. I love our table and chairs, they used to be in our old kitchen but we outgrew the table for two. You can also see our laundry drying on the drying rack. (Our dryer broke and we are waiting on the repair) There is also the bucket for our ice cream maker drying by the door. That reminds me that I should make some more ice cream soon! YUM.
Between the house door and porch door is where we keep all the cardboard that needs to be recycled. Joe and Jude usually load it up into the back of the car and take it to the recycling center. Most of those boxes are from review items.
There’s my porch. We have a tiny front porch that I didn’t think was worth photographing but it does exist.
What does your porch look like? Do you have a back deck, screened in porch, rocking chairs? I want to know.
