We eat lunch at home every day and sometimes PB&J or Turkey Sandwiches get a little old so I’m always trying new recipes that are quick and easy. I love grilled cheese but it always seems a little less than impressive so I tried to jazz it up and hence created the ABCT sandwich.
What is an ABCT sandwich? Only the most awesome sandwich to ever grace the planet.
A – Avocado
B – Bacon
C – Cheddar Cheese
T – Tomato

YUM!~
This is a great recipe to make with left over bacon, but let’s be honest when is there ever left over bacon? So go ahead and buy some extra bacon just so you can enjoy this yumminess.
Ingredients:
1 Avocado sliced
Cooked Bacon – 2 or 3 slices per sandwich
1 Slice of White Cheddar Cheese (or more if you like)
1 Tomato Sliced
2 Pieces of your favorite bread (mine is sourdough!)
Butter
Directions:
Cook the Bacon if you don’t have left over bacon. I cook mine in a pan until it is nice and crispy.
Butter each slice of bread
Layer ingredients – cheese, bacon, tomato and avocado, more cheese
Cook in toaster oven (on toast) until bread is browned and cheese if fully melted

I’ve been working on perfecting my sweet potato chip technique and I think I’m almost there. I…
My kids love to help in the kitchen and I love teaching my boys how to cook and bake. My hope is that I can teach them to cook well enough that they will make great meals for themselves and eventually cook for others. I’ve found that by giving my kids a chance to help…
Every birthday needs a special drink. I have been obsessed with frozen berries lately so I thought I’d use some frozen berries to create a special non-alcoholic birthday drink for my self. It’s really simple but delicious. Ingredients 1 can Vernors Ginger ale – Use a good quality ginger ale this is very important 1/4…

Over the long holiday weekend we stopped for lunch at Zoe’s Kitchen. While we were there I grabbed a gallon of their homemade limeade to take home. My kids love Zoe’s Kitchen limeade. I thought I would make a super easy treat with the kids for our Fourth of July cookout. We made limeade popsicles….
Joe’s parents bought us an ice cream maker for our wedding and until a few weeks ago we never used it, primarily because we didn’t know how. So one day we decided to try it out… we followed the instructions that came with the maker to the “t”. However, we ended up with warm milk…
