We eat lunch at home every day and sometimes PB&J or Turkey Sandwiches get a little old so I’m always trying new recipes that are quick and easy. I love grilled cheese but it always seems a little less than impressive so I tried to jazz it up and hence created the ABCT sandwich.
What is an ABCT sandwich? Only the most awesome sandwich to ever grace the planet.
A – Avocado
B – Bacon
C – Cheddar Cheese
T – Tomato =
YUM!~
This is a great recipe to make with left over bacon, but let’s be honest when is there ever left over bacon? So go ahead and buy some extra bacon just so you can enjoy this yumminess.
Ingredients:
1 Avocado sliced
Cooked Bacon – 2 or 3 slices per sandwich
1 Slice of White Cheddar Cheese (or more if you like)
1 Tomato Sliced
2 Pieces of your favorite bread (mine is sourdough!)
Butter
Directions:
Cook the Bacon if you don’t have left over bacon. I cook mine in a pan until it is nice and crispy.
Butter each slice of bread
Layer ingredients – cheese, bacon, tomato and avocado, more cheese
Cook in toaster oven (on toast) until bread is browned and cheese if fully melted

Slingshot Cold Brew Coffee and Nutella Smoothie by Joe A while ago our friend Jenny started a company called Slingshot Coffee, which makes smooth cold-brew coffee. During a holiday-schedule-induced caffeine headache, I found myself in a long line at the Whole Foods coffee counter with my family waiting outside in the car, feeling frustrated and…
I received a cookie press as a wedding gift, but for years, I had no idea how to use it. I’d only ever made cheese straws! Then one day I discovered spritz cookies, and they were so cute and delicious that I knew I had to learn how to make them. After trying a few…
I love roasted vegetables. I love the rainbow of colors, the different textures, the cripsy outside and tender insides that come from roasting vegetables. I think most hearty vegetables taste their best when they are roasted. Lately, I’ve been eating roasted veggie bowls for lunch on the regular. This is a great make ahead meal…
This is such a simple meal and makes my whole family happy. I’ve shared this recipe on my Instagram several months ago (I think it’s saved in the highlights) so you can watch the step-by-step process over there. But in all honesty, it’s so ridiculously simple you don’t really need to watch me make it….
We’ve made Rice Krispies Treats dozens of times, but the other day I decided to switch it up and use Fruity Pebbles to make Fruity Pebble Treats. Can you believe that my boys have never tried Fruity Pebbles? They have had Froot Loops and the flavor is fairly similar to Fruity Pebbles so I figured…
