Earth Day is April 22nd so for the whole month of April my family will be focusing on ways to save the earth. The first way we are focusing on is water conservation. Australian based, Ripple Products is a design business focused on social behavioral change. Their product solutions are tools that enable and facilitate more responsible water consumption and energy usage.
We put the Ripple Digital Shower Timer in our bathroom to ensure we using water conservatively. The Ripple shower timer is a clock with a timer, to let you know when your shower time is up. It is waterproof, steam proof and shatter proof with batteries included. Quick set-up instructions are on the pack and for more details are found on our website. We also received the Ripple Water Saving Shower Curtain which reminds you to save water.
Since we started using the Ripple Digital Shower Time we have become more aware of the length of our showers. Specifically Joe, who wakes up early for work and sometimes dozes off while showering. It has not only be helpful in saving water, but money and making sure he gets to work on time.
“Studies have shown: having a digital timer in your shower can reduce your shower water consumption by up to 27%”

The average person needs 1.9 (8 glasses) of water a day. However, pregnant women need 2.3 liters (10 glasses) of water a day and breastfeeding moms need 3.1 liters (13 glasses) of water a day. That’s a lot of water. With the crazy heat we’ve had this summer I’m sure I haven’t been drinking nearly…
Every year Joe buys me underwear for my Christmas stocking. I have a hard time spending money on my clothes much less underwear for myself so Joe takes the gift giving season to buy me pretty, yet comfortable underwear. At first I thought it was strange to get underwear in my stocking but now I…
I hardly ever buy anything full price. I always go straight to the back of the store to shop the sale racks and more often than not I have a coupon. With two small kids I don’t get out much to do shopping so I rely heavily on online deals. Did you know that you…
Joe looks great in glasses. That’s on of the reasons I started dating him. I have a thing for guys in glasses. Prescription eye wear can be expensive and shopping for new glasses can be very time consuming. We really like shopping online for most everything else so why not glasses. With Eye Buy Direct…
Fortunately, Jude hasn’t encountered too many diaper rashes and the ones he’s had haven’t been too bad. I’ve learned from experience that keeping baby’s bottom dry is the firs step in preventing diaper rashes. That means changing dirty diapers ASAP and making sure baby’s bottom is dry before putting on a clean diaper. One of…
We live in a townhouse and our neighbors just recently moved out resulting in some unwelcome guests coming into our house. It’s my understanding that roaches like the glue used to keep cardboard boxes together so we’ve seen a few yucky roaches over the past few weeks. Other than killing them I wasn’t really sure…
