I know a lot of people will be receiving a Nintendo Wii for Christmas and I always have trouble figuring out what best new games are out there. If your game enthusiast likes action and fighting games I highly suggest, Swords.
The ultimate sword fighting battle for the Wii™,Swords, will be available for retail in September. The game enablesplayers to travel through time and space to face-off against masters in battle. Using the Wii Remote, with Wii Motion Plus as a swift and agile weapon, players can experience the realism of 1:1 sword movement, real time blocking and advanced combos! This title is exciting for both boys and girls and approved by parents as the game does not feature the blood and gore found in other action titles.
Since Joe is the primary Wii player in or home here are his thoughts on the game…
Swords is an aptly named game about fighting with swords. The game doesn’t waste any time with a story, really, it just gets straight to the part where you fight with swords. You fight ninjas, a viking, a knight, some other guys, and a whole bunch of zombies. There is a little blood, but it’s not gory, and is probably suitable for the desensitized children of today. Definitely follow the recommendation to use the wii-motion plus (I couldn’t get past the tutorial without it), and take time to stretch before-hand. I had a really good time with this game, even though my arm was sore for a few days afterwards.

We don’t eat out a lot especially not at fast food restaurants. Mostly because we are trying to be financially responsible but also because we are trying to eat healthy. But when I was asked to sample the new healthy menu at Burger King I thought, “why not”. So the other day for lunch Jude,…
Last year we took Jude to see Yo Gabba Gabba live and it blew his little mind. It was everything we expected and much more. So when I learned that they are coming to Raleigh this year I knew we would have to take him. On November 1st, Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! will be in…
Like most of you I despise cleaning the bathroom, primarily the bath tub. So whenever there is a new product that promises to make cleaning my bathroom easier I’ll give it a go. I received the Scrubbing Bubbles “Minimize Morning Madness” basket and immediately scooped up that fancy new bottle. Upon first inspection I was…
Any true southern boy like my husband would gladly appreciate a delicious red velvet cake. Bake Me a Wish sent us their Valentine’s Day Red Velvet Chocolate Cake and it was delicious. I think what made this cake so amazing was the bits of white chocolate around the outer edge. YUM! I will admit I…
We are at the pool a lot between the swim team and recreational use I think we are at the pool almost every day during the summer. Abel is a water baby for sure. He loves to splash in the baby pool with his brothers. When you’re at the pool as much as we are…
May has been a busy month. Mother’s Day, my birthday, Joe’s birthday, Baby 2 due any day, Joe working 6 days a week, visiting family, finishing unpacking… the list goes on. Somehow we’ve managed to fit in a few date night this month which is a few more than most months. I figure with baby…
