The day Jude was born is most certainly a day I will never forget. However, I was a little preoccupied that day so I missed the news headlines and other current events. So for Jude’s upcoming second birthday I thought it would be great to find out and document all of the historical events that happened that day.
Milson Road offers a wonderful and unique product called The Daily Portrait, which is a framed front page news print that captures all of the details of your special day. I choose the date of Jude’s birthday because I wanted to give him a wonderful keepsake he can look back at to learn about the time in which he was born. The Daily Portrait allows you to write a personal message, and the specific details of your memorable event. Then they give you a variety of top news items of the day like who was on top of the music charts, movies that were released, stocks, national headlines, fashion and much more.
I hope Jude is able to enjoy and share this wonderful gift for a very long time. It truely is a unique gift that not only hangs on this bedroom wall but captures the day on which he was born.

Whether it’s your 1st or 10th baby there is always reason to send a Thank You card. I know we have many friends that will bless us with gifts, meals and their helping hands after we have baby #2. I hope to be prepared with Thank You cards on hand so when I have a…
I prefer to not put a ton of medicine in my kid’s bodies. But there is nothing more frustrating that trying to sleep with congestion. Since babies don’t have the ability to blow their nose or tell you when they can’t breathe it’s important to use preventative measures to ensure that baby can breathe easily…
I pretty much never leave the house without a snack in my bag. I started carrying around snacks when I was pregnant with Jude. Constantly eating helped keep the nausea away. Today, I’m not pregnant but I still eat a little throughout the day. Eating a little here and there keeps me from becoming super…
Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! I just can’t get enough. What’s better than plain chocolate? Chocolate with a creamy nutty center. Joe loves the combination of peanut butter and chocolate so how could he not love Ococoa and their selection of butter cups? Obviously he loved the classic peanut butter cup but he also fell in love…
Joe and I watch a lot of movies at home. Like most parents we don’t have a lot of time or money to go out on elaborate dates so we love checking out new movies, especially absurd and funny movies. Needless to say I was very excited to review “Extract”the newest film from writer-director, Mike…
After a busy week we packed our bags and headed to the beach. I threw my new Tiger Balm Neck and Shoulder Rub in the bag and rushed out the door. Day two of our vacation and Joe woke up with a major crick in his neck. He slept wrong. I grabbed the Tiger Balm…
