The first thing you’ll notice about Casa de Campo is its size.

This isn’t a resort where everything is a five-minute walk away. Casa de Campo is a 7,000-acre luxury resort and residential community, so getting around is part of the experience. Thankfully, every guest room includes a golf cart, and you’ll use it constantly. Exploring the property by golf cart quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip.

Despite its size, the resort never felt crowded. Every area we visited felt peaceful, spacious, and beautifully maintained.

We stayed in an Elite Room, which was modern, spacious, and incredibly comfortable.

Why the Golf Cart Is One of the Best Parts of Casa de Campo

One of the things that makes Casa de Campo Resort so unique is that your room comes with a personal golf cart—and trust me, you’ll use it constantly.

Since the resort spans more than 7,000 acres, a golf cart isn’t just a fun extra; it’s the easiest way to get around. We used ours to drive to breakfast, the beach, the marina, Altos de Chavón, dinner reservations, and everywhere in between.

It quickly became one of our favorite parts of the experience. There’s something so fun about hopping in your golf cart each morning to explore a different part of the resort. Every drive felt like a little adventure, and it gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace.

The golf cart also makes it easy to enjoy everything Casa de Campo has to offer without feeling limited to one area. In a single day, we could spend the morning at Minitas Beach, grab lunch by the pool, explore Altos de Chavón in the afternoon, and have dinner at the marina—all without ever needing to wait for a shuttle.

Minitas Beach Was Our Favorite Amenity

While Casa de Campo is famous for golf, don’t overlook Minitas Beach.

This became one of our favorite places to relax.

Unlike many resort beaches where you grab your own food and drinks, servers came directly to our chairs throughout the day, making it easy to completely unwind.

We also loved that there was so much available in one area:

• Pool with swim-up bar
• Food trucks
• Juice bar
• Ice cream
• Water sports
• Plenty of shaded seating

It felt more like a beach club than a traditional resort beach. One of the highlights of our Casa de Campo Resort review was spending time at Minitas Beach.

Dining at Casa de Campo Resort

One thing that impressed us throughout our stay was the quality of the food.

Our favorite breakfast spot was Lago, overlooking the legendary Teeth of the Dog Golf Course and the Caribbean Sea. Every morning featured an incredible buffet with fresh fruit, made-to-order eggs, pastries, local specialties, and beautiful views.

La Casita
Fresh seafood served right on the marina. The waterfront atmosphere made this one of our favorite evenings.

Causa
An incredible Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant that ended up being one of our favorite meals of the entire trip.

Chilango Taquería
Located in Altos de Chavón, this casual restaurant served generous portions in one of the most beautiful settings on the property.

Lunch at La Cana became another favorite thanks to its open-air seating overlooking the pool.

One thing that really stood out during our Casa de Campo Resort review was the consistently excellent food.

Exploring Altos de Chavón

One of Casa de Campo’s most unique features is Altos de Chavón.

This stunning replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village overlooks the Chavón River and is filled with restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and incredible views.

We visited during both the day and evening, and each offered a completely different experience. During the day, it was fun to explore the shops and admire the architecture. At night, the lighting and atmosphere made it feel incredibly romantic.

If you’re staying at Casa de Campo, don’t just visit once, go back during different times of day.

Golf, Horses & Family Activities at Casa de Campo

Even though Casa de Campo is world-famous for its golf courses, you don’t have to be a golfer to love this resort.

We spent time visiting the equestrian center, where guests can meet the horses, visit the petting zoo, and even book horseback riding experiences.

We also explored the Kids Club, making it easy to see why this resort works so well for families in addition to couples.

Whether you’re looking for golf, beaches, horseback riding, water sports, or simply relaxing by the pool, there’s something here for every type of traveler.

Service Throughout Our Casa de Campo Resort Stay

One thing that consistently stood out was the service.

From the beach attendants and restaurant staff to housekeeping and bell services, everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay.

Little touches, like evening turndown service and attentive beachside servers, made the experience feel polished without being overly formal.
