Walt Disney World Holiday Parties Return for 2026: Everything You Need to Know

The holiday season is one of the most magical times to visit Walt Disney World, and Disney has officially announced the return of two fan-favorite holiday events for 2026: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios.

These special-ticketed events offer exclusive entertainment, festive treats, unique character experiences, and holiday magic that goes beyond what you’ll find during a regular park day.

If you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation between November and early January, here’s what you need to know.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returns to Magic Kingdom on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2026.

This beloved holiday celebration transforms Magic Kingdom into a winter wonderland complete with festive entertainment, holiday decor, special snacks, and some of the most popular seasonal entertainment Disney offers all year.

Event Highlights

• Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
• Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks
• Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show
• Complimentary cookies and hot cocoa throughout the park
• Holiday overlays on select attractions, including Jingle Cruise
• Rare character meet-and-greets
• Frozen Holiday Surprise at Cinderella Castle
• Exclusive holiday food and beverage offerings

Guests with party tickets can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM, while the party officially takes place from 7:00 PM to midnight.

Disney Jollywood Nights

If you’re looking for a more sophisticated holiday experience, Disney Jollywood Nights returns to Hollywood Studios for an extended season in 2026.

Inspired by old Hollywood glamour, this after-hours event combines seasonal entertainment, live music, unique character encounters, and shorter attraction wait times.

• Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! nighttime spectacular
• Seasonal stage performances and ice-skating shows
• Holiday dance party featuring Pixar characters
• Live musical entertainment throughout the park

Guests may enter Hollywood Studios beginning at 5:30 PM, and the event runs from 7:30 PM until 12:30 AM.

Important Planning Tip: Early Park Closures

Even if you don’t plan to attend one of these events, it’s important to know that Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios will close early to regular day guests on event nights.

This can significantly impact your vacation plans.

For example, if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom on a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party date without party tickets, you’ll have fewer hours in the park than normal. The same applies to Hollywood Studios on Jollywood Nights dates.

Because of this, I always recommend reviewing party schedules before finalizing your park plans. In many cases, attending one of the events can actually provide more value and park time. In other cases, it may make sense to visit a different park on those dates.

Ticket Information

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can purchase tickets early beginning July 9, 2026.

General ticket sales begin July 16, 2026.

Prices for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party range from approximately $179–$229 per person, depending on the date selected.

Historically, popular party dates around Thanksgiving and Christmas often sell out, so purchasing early is highly recommended.
