Beach Club Resort Rooms

The rooms at Disney’s Beach Club Resort were renovated in 2023.

The guest rooms at The Beach Club have been renovated to be clean and neutral, with splashes of muted seaside tones. They feature warm wood-tone flooring and white sheets on the beds with accents of navy and teal. Each room includes a large flatscreen television mounted over an oversized bureau for plenty of storage and a small work desk with a chair in the corner.

Standard rooms have two queen-size beds. Some rooms have a single sleeper sofa, enabling the room to comfortably sleep five people. King rooms have a king bed and single sleeper sofa and chair.

The bathroom is divided into two sections: the vanity and shower/toilet room. The vanity has double sinks and a full-length mirror, while a separate room holds a toilet and tub/shower surrounded by a glass shower door.

Amenities include an electronic wall safe, an iron and ironing board, a coffee and tea station, a beverage cooler, and a “Hey Disney!” voice assistant.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and most rooms have a balcony or patio.

Beach Club Resort Pools

Stormalong Bay is the main pool shared with Beach Club Resort and Yacht Club Resort. Guests will enjoy a pirate shipwreck water slide, a lazy river, a sand-bottom pool, and much more. Please note that access to Stormalong Bay is only for guests staying at Beach and Yacht Club, and they will verify room reservations for entry to the pool area.

The pool area includes a 230-foot-long water slide from a wrecked pirate ship, a lazy river, a miniature water slide, two kiddie pools, and three whirlpool spas. It’s an impressive pool area that could easily replace a lazy day at the water park. For a more peaceful pool, There are three additional quiet pools throughout the Yacht and Beach Club.

Beach Club Transportation Options

The Beach Club offers various transportation options to the different Disney World parks. Due to the resort’s convenient location, you can easily walk to Epcot in about 5 minutes and to Hollywood Studios in about 15 minutes.

You can also walk to the Skyliner station from the resort, which provides convenient access to Hollywood Studios. If you prefer not to take the Skyliner, a ferry is available to Hollywood Studios.

Bus transportation is available to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Disney Springs. However, note the Beach Club often shares a bus with the Yacht Club and sometimes the Boardwalk Inn.

Beach Club Resort Dining

Disney’s Beach Club Resort offers a variety of dining options, from poolside dining to character meals. The resort is also home to the best ice cream shop at Disney World.

Beach Club Marketplace

The counter service options at Beach Club are limited. The only quick service option available is Beach Club Marketplace, which offers a variety of made-to-order meals, grab-and-go snacks, and a hotel gift shop. For breakfast, you will find items such as eggs, bacon, and Mickey waffles. Lunch and dinner options include soup, salad, sandwiches, and pasta. You can also grab a quick snack and beverage from the Marketplace. One downside of the Beach Club Marketplace is the limited seating. There are a few tables located on an outdoor patio for guests to use for dining. Guests may also use the Solarium to dine, although it’s not set up as a dining space.

Hurricane Hanna’s

Located by the Stormalong Bay pool, you will find Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill, where you can purchase poolside food and drinks. Hurricane Hanna’s offers standard food options like chicken strips, salads, and burgers. You can also get alcoholic drinks to relax by the pool. Guests can also refill their resort mugs at this location.

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop is one of the resort’s most popular restaurants. It’s an adorably themed ice cream shop that serves lunch and dinner, but most people go for the ice cream. It is one of the most popular ice cream spots at Disney World because of its unique ice cream creations like the Kitchen Sink, a massive 8 scoops of ice cream smothered with every topping available. Due to the popularity and limited seating, reservations can sometimes be challenging to secure. However, they also have a to-go window, which is very convenient if you’re looking for ice cream or milkshakes.

Cape May Cafe

Cape May Cafe is a New England-inspired table service restaurant that offers character breakfast dining. The character dining experience is a breakfast buffet called Minnie’s Beach Bash, featuring Minnie Mouse and several of her friends in adorable beachy outfits. The breakfast menu includes traditional items like Mickey Waffles and omelets. For dinner, Cape May Cafe offers a seafood-inspired New England dinner buffet without characters.

Martha’s Vineyard Lounge

Martha’s Vineyard is the resort lounge serving appetizers and drinks. It’s open in the evenings and offers a mellow New England beach house-inspired atmosphere. You can enjoy signature cocktails, imported wines, draft beers, and late-night snacks.

Beach Club Resort Activities & Recreation

Most deluxe resorts at Disney World offer a fitness center. The Ship Shape Massage Salon Fitness is a full-service facility that The Beach Club Resort and Yacht Club Resort share. Guests can use the 24-hour fitness center, which has a variety of fitness equipment, including strength machines, cardio machines, free weights, medicine balls, and kettlebells. Disney’s Beach Club Resort offers other fitness opportunities, such as a sand volleyball court, tennis courts, and a nearly one-mile-long running trail.

You can also rent a boat and go fishing at the Bayside Marina. Kids will love playing video games at the Lafferty Place Arcade. If you’re looking for the ultimate lazy day, Poolside Cabana Rentals are available with cocktail service, a fruit tray, and an optional dining service add-on.

Don’t forget to grab a monthly activities guide when you check in to find out what’s available during your stay. You can join craft sessions, take a painting class, enjoy s’mores at the nightly campfire, or watch Movies Under the Stars. The Movies Under the Stars event occurs every night at the beach near the pirate ship slide.

You can easily walk from the resort to Disney’s BoardWalk, where you’ll find restaurants, a dueling piano bar, bicycle rentals, carnival games, and other downtime activities.

Disney Beach Club Resort Review

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a deluxe resort with a laid-back vibe. Its well-appointed rooms and amenities, especially the pool, set it apart from other Disney resorts. Stormalong Bay is a fantastic pool and the primary reason many families choose this resort.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort’s location is a major selling point. Nestled on Crescent Lake, it’s a stone’s throw from Epcot and a short Skyliner or boat ride from Hollywood Studios. The only downside is that Yacht Club and occasionally Boardwalk Inn share the bus to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

The food at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a haven for food enthusiasts, offering various excellent dining options. Despite the lack of quick service options, the resort’s location makes it easy to access other dining choices.
