The Perfect Kindergarten Spring Break
Jude’s spring break was last week. I tried to plan some fun, low-key activities for me to do with the boys while Joe was at work. We also planned a fun day trip on Saturday to Charlotte to check out the new Sea Life Aquarium (review coming soon). The weather finally decided it wanted to play the roll of spring and we embraced every moment outside with open arms.
FRIDAY – Jude and I kicked off Spring Break with an after school trip to Marbles.
SATURDAY – Playing outside as much as possible.
Had to wake the kids up on Saturday night due to Tornado Warnings. Thankfully we were all safe.
SUNDAY – Cold day spent at church and inside
MONDAY – Starting the week with some errands and a lunch date with Dada.
And then some afternoon bike rides and yoga.
Mom and Dad celebrate Spring Break with Cowfish
TUESDAY – Spent almost 3 hours at our favorite park, Knightdale Station
Spent the afternoon playing with the neighbor in their bounce house.
WEDNESDAY – Spent the morning at our 2nd favorite park, Mordecai Mini Park.
Then a late lunch with Jude at Elevation Burger.
And home again for more bike riding.
THURSDAY – A WHOLE LOT of time outside.
FRIDAY – Day trip to Charlotte to the Sea Life Aquarium and IKEA
SATURDAY – Helping Dada with chores around the house and building our new IKEA bunk bed.
SUNDAY – Church and a final hurrah for frozen custard at Goodberrys.
I think Kindergarten Spring Break was exactly what we needed. It was the right balance of busy and relaxing. We spent a lot of time outdoors and making memories. I hope to model many more springs breaks after this one.
