Neighborhood Toy Store Day
We love our local toy store. It’s our go-to location when we need to get out of the house. I love that the store is small and intimate with friendly customer service. It’s our neighborhood toy store and we love it.
That is why I’m excited about the upcoming Neighborhood Toy Store Day on Saturday, November 10th!
This year marks the 3rd annual Neighborhood Toy Store Day where participating stores will host in-store events for families to help kick off the holiday shopping season. The annual even is coordinated by the non-profit organization ASTRA, the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association.
Local Toys stores offer a great variety of high quality toys such as Roll & Play, an interactive game for toddlers by ThinkFun.
Jude really loved playing this game, it helps him learn skills like colors, shapes, animal sounds, emotions, and actions through play. Noah is still a bit too young to play this game but he really loves the Tobbles Neo by Fat Brain Toys.
The Tobbles Neo are brightly colored weighted balls that neatly nest inside of each other to create a tall tower. They teach little hands fine motor skills, coordination and sensory exploration.
Other benefits of shopping local include:
- Economic stability
- Community development
- Reduced environmental impact
- A diverse product selection
- Better customer service
If those aren’t enough reasons to get out and support your Neighborhood Toy Store, I don’t know what is.
