Heroes Wanted – Matchbox Celebrates 60 Years

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Some are fictional and some a very real.

My boys are obsessed with all things super heroes, but Jude is especially enthralled with Spider Man. I love that super heroes are so popular because they teach kids to fight for what is right and that anyone can be a hero. I mean Peter Parker is just a young man working as a photographer who has decided to use his special powers for it. I want my kids to know they can do amazing things with a little or a lot and I think super heroes are a great example of just that. So I make it a point to point out real-life everyday heroes, like firemen so Jude understands how real people can do great things in the same way as fictional characters like Spider Man.
