We’ve lived in our new house for just about 3 months and we are finally putting up the final touches and decorating. Noah’s nursery was one of my top priorities. I didn’t have a lot planned for it I just sort of pulled out what we had, found a few things I liked and we ended up with a green and brown owl themed room (with touches of blue and orange). And I think I really like it. One of my favorite features is my new owl decal from Dali Decals.
Since we are renting we didn’t want to do anything too permanent but I wanted a bold statement for the room that was fun but not too cheesy. The Two Cute Owls Sitting on Tree Branches with Leaves fit perfectly into the design of the room. I placed the decal in the corner near his crib.
When I first received my decal I was a little overwhelmed with all of the detailed instruction and thought I might have trouble putting it up properly. But it actually turned out to be pretty easy. It took a little longer than I expected because every single element has to be applied separately. However, that ensures you can have a unique and perfect design. The part that took so long was peeling the backing paper off the transfer, which is really just mundane and so simple.
I really love the owl decal. Every time I walk in the room it makes me smile. Noah also likes the owl, he stares and smiles at it.

I’m so blessed to have kids that like vegetables and eat them willingly, most of the time. On occasion they refuse to eat their veggies and try to pull out the “picky eater”. In our house you have to try everything on your plate no matter how many previous times you’ve tried the same food….
I previously wrote a review on how much we love the newest Disney Pixar film, Coco. Since writing that post I have watched the move twice and I still have such fond thoughts about this movie. Coco is probably my favorite film from 2017. Granted, I don’t see a ton of movies but out of…

Reorganization is a big part of spring cleaning in my home. Since I married my husband 2 and half years ago I’ve been slowly working on eliminating the clutter that came along with my hoarding husband. (OK he’s not that bad but he is a collector.) I’m very proud of him for all the de-cluttering…
For the first 5 weeks of Noah’s life I pumped all of his milk. And any breastfeeding mom can tell you that pumping doesn’t yield as much milk as breastfeeding. So I pumped a lot and often just to keep up with his demands. But near week 5 I noticed my supply dropping. I knew…
Pasta gets a bad rap. Pasta contains wheat and wheat contains gluten and gluten is bad. But that is not all entirely true. Without getting into a lot of the science here’s why pasta gets a bad rap. Over thousands of years wheat has been transforming. Most of the wheat we eat today is a…
