Last Sunday we celebrated Jude’s 3rd birthday with a small gathering of family and friends. Jude spent the afternoon swimming in my parents pool, playing with his cousins and enjoying cake and ice cream. All of his favorite things. He recently discovered the Cars movies and with the recent release of Cars 2 I though it would be appropriate and fun to have a Cars 2 themed birthday party.
Since I just gave birth the weekend prior I knew I didn’t want to put forth too much effort into decorating but I did want to make it fun and special. Birthday Express has a huge selection of Cars 2 themed decorations. I particularly loved the Disney’s Cars 2 personalized banner, it was a great way to make the decorations special.
The kids loved the balloons and streamers. Birthday Express sent us a cool foil balloon which accidentally got popped (sad face), a whole selection of latex balloons and helium tank. We attached the streamers to the fan and they thought that was awesome. The disposable table cloths, plates, napkins and cups made for easy clean up after the party was over.
I can say with certainty that Jude loved his party and that all the kids found the decorations to be a big hit.

I’ve been using the same hair dryer since college. I won’t tell you how long it’s been but it is more than 10 years. I think it’s pretty impressive for a hair dryer, that I use almost every day, to sill be working so well. Then again, it is a Conair. I finally got a…

I love Target. I think the bulk of my Maternity clothes have been purchased from Target. But I really love the new winter collection from Moody Mamas that was especially designed for Target. The dresses are beautiful, simple and super comfortable. I’m not a fussy gal to begin with and I most certainly don’t want…

I cannot tell you how many necklaces I have that need to be repaired because tiny yet strong hands have ripped them from my neck. I thought I would have to banish all jewelry, with the exception of my rings, until my kids were teenagers. But alas, Mommy Necklaces has met a need for moms…
